Itinerary to neil island:

One day is enough in neil. One evening and one morning. Two main beaches, bharatpur beach and laxmanpur beach, one natural bridge that too at sea shore only. Very small island, 2 to 3 km radius. Center market point is at half km from jetty. All 3 places are in different directions but very near. Just take a bike on rent. 600 for petrol and 800 for battery vehicle.

After reaching neil, checkin to hotel, just relax for some time. Now you can go for lunch by 2 or 2:30pm. From here you can go to natural bridge, spend some time and take some snaps. Max by 4 you should start for lakshamanpur beach, see sunset, spend some time and return to hotel.
Next morning you can go for scooba at bharatpur beach or just simply visit the beach. Come back to hotel, take bath and return to port blair.

Note: no network in neil other that airtel and bsnl. Carry water, cold drinks and some snacks always. Not many restaurants. Try to bargain for scooba if interested. Don't spend too much on hotel. Always take hotel where breakfast is included.

My visit to havelock:

Day 1 :
started from portblair by ITT Majestic ferry at 8:30 am. After reaching Havelock jetty by 10, I hired a cab to my resort. On the way I took a scooty on rent a day. You can ask the agent to deliver it at the resort. Take his contact number. My havelock journey was for 3days, although 2 days are enough. All the resorts and hotels are at both sides of only one road which connect jetty to kalapathar beach. My resort was cross bill resort. It costed me 12k for 3 days. Resorts reviews I will give in coming post. We relaxed for some time then went out for lunch at nearby restaurant sea shell. It's costly. In the evening we planned for radhanagar beach, petrol was less, we thought of filling it up from station on the way to the beach. But we got to know that the station has closed since the last opening time is 5pm. We therefore returned. Went to our scooty shop and took over priced 1ltr fuel. Then we planned to roam around here and there. Now we went to buy some drinks, but there was shortage and only one shop in the town. Then we started for kalapathar beach. Spent some time there and returned to market side after half an hour. Roamed around there then had dinner in vegitarian and crowded rajasthani dhaba, returned to resorts and went to bed.

My itinerary

In my previous posts and reels I explained what could be your itinerary. Now I am sharing my own itinerary.

I spent first day at port blair, next 3 days at havelock, 5th day at neil, 6th at port blair, 7th return.

My visit to port blair:

2 days are recommended. Take one more day if you want to visit bartang. I reached by 12:30pm at port blair and hotel at 2pm. I booked homestay @1200 incl breakfast from booking.com near haddo jetty where I had to start for havelock next day early morning. At haddo all pvt ferries start.

Ordered lunch from zomato, relaxed, hired auto for corbyn cove beach and cellular jail drop @ rs.400. Homestay guy arranged. Beach was moderate. Spent 1 hr then went to 7:50pm show at cellular jail. Rs. 300 per person, booked same day in advance. Check ticket availability in advance. Returned by 9pm, took auto 120. Then had dinner and went to bed. Food was good and reasonable.

On last day I visited nearby samudrika museum. I didn't visit many places at port blair since I didn't felt it worth. I had already visited better natural places and also didn't want to make our trip hectic.
Other places to visit: ross island, chidiya tapu, wandoor beach etc.

2nd day at havelock:

Morning you can visit Kalapathar beach and spend time till lunch, take bath and have fun.

Come to the resort, take proper bath,have lunch, take some rest then visit Radhanagar Beach if you have not visited earlier or if you want to spend lone time at beach again. Return after sunset. Now you can visit market or have drink if you want. Now, you can go for candle light dinner at nearby beach restaurants or order online at your room.

You can also go for scooba on one of they two days otherwise I would suggest to take that on neil islands as I did. But do it only in the early morning first batch.

Important:
Remember, elephant beach should only be visited in the morning till lunch. Radhanagar till 5pm only. It's a sunset location. You can visit in the morning too. Kalapathar remains open whole day, morning hours are good if you want to take bath. Scooba can be done at govind nagar beach too which is behind your resort. To sum up, you need 2 mornings and one evening at least for best experience.
