Did you know that the Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the most famous glaciers in the world? It is located in Los Glaciares National Park, in the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina. It forms part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, the third-largest reserve of fresh water in the world.

This glacier is known for its impressive size, with a surface area of approximately 250 km² and a length of about 30 kilometers. It is unique for its accessibility and for being one of the few glaciers in the world that is not in constant retreat. In fact, it maintains a balance between advancing and retreating, making it a geological rarity.

One of its most impressive attractions is the phenomenon of rupture, when large blocks of ice fall into Lake Argentino, creating a spectacular visual and sound display. This phenomenon occurs due to the pressure of the water that accumulates behind the glacier, eventually breaking the ice dam that forms.

The Perito Moreno is one of Argentina’s main tourist attractions, and its beauty and majesty draw visitors from all over the world.

The upcoming Vande Bharat Sleeper train from New Delhi to Srinagar, which is expected to begin operations in early 2025, will offer three different classes of accommodations:

AC 3 Tier (3A): ₹2000

AC 2 Tier (2A): ₹2500

AC First Class (1A): ₹3000

The train will cover over 800 kilometers in less than 13 hours, with key stops at stations such as Ambala, Ludhiana, Jammu Tawi, and Banihal. It will depart from New Delhi at 7:00 PM and arrive in Srinagar by 8:00 AM.

Jageshwar Dham is known as one of Jyotirlinga (Astham Jyotirlingas - Nagesham Darukavane). In many traditional scriptures, it is revered as one of twelve original Jyotirlingams.

One of the finest examples of architecture in Uttarakhand, Jageshwar Dham is a cluster of temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. There are 125 big and small temples that look simply beautiful with a gorgeous backdrop of rolling green mountains and a gurgling Jata Ganga stream built during the period of Katyuri dynasty ( 7 th to 15 th century) and restored during Chand dynasty circa 18 th century.

The tall deodar trees around the temple add to the serene environment.
** Nearest town : Almora, 35-40 km.

Loops 🔂 Manali Leh Highway
As the name says, Gata Loops is a series of loopy roads on the Manali- Leh Highway. These loops cover a stretch of 10 km with 21 hairpin bends. These Gata loops take you all the way up to Naake La (15,547 ft) – the 3rd highest mountain pass on this highway. There is a milestone before the Gata Loops which indicates the beginning of this treacherous journey through the hairpin bends.
