Shanti Stupa is a white-domed structure situated at the top of the hill in Leh. It was built and opened for tourists in 1991 by a Japanese Buddhist Gyomyo Nakamura.

While on top of Everest, I looked across the valley towards the great peak Makalu and mentally worked out a route about how it could be climbed. It showed me that even though I was standing on top of the world, it wasn't the end of everything. I was still looking beyond to other interesting challenges.

A 6,178m first ascent & ski down, all without supplemental oxygen 🏔⛷🤯 On April 30th, @andrzejbargiel became the first person to climb Yawash Sar II peak with partner @jedrekbaranowski before skiing down.

Andrzej conquered the mountain as part of his Karakoram Ski Expedition, in which he aims to fast ascent without supplemental oxygen and to ski down two six-thousanders. With Yawash Sar II complete, he will set his sights on Laila Peak (6,096 m).
