I’m gonna make you an offer you can’t refuse 😋 A trip to Sicily - the most perfect corner of Europe 🍋🍝

You might recognise a lot of these locations from the iconic Godfather trilogy! Our Ponant cruise is in Taormina - where you go to slow down and fall in love with doing nothing. Mornings start with strong espressos and sea views that honestly feel unreal.

You can spend your days wander through narrow streets lined with boutiques and historic charm, grabbing a gelato just because🍦 Afternoons are for long, lazy lunches followed by a swim or a nap—or both 🤓

Mount Etna looms in the distance, dramatic and quiet. And the scent of citrus drifts from hidden garden in piazzas. There is something so truly seductive about Sicily- one visit and we can promise you’ll already be planning your return 😋🍋🍝

Fun fact! Long before we started Vid’s job as a software engineer in a French-Italian company led him to spend months working in Sicily! It was his solo travels in the area that made him fall in love with the area & I can see why 😭

This is what I would do differently if I visited Italy for the first time today 🇮🇹✈️

On our first trips to Italy, we just visited the tourist hotspots and if I’m being honest didn’t enjoy it very much! 😮‍💨Travel is rarely about the Eiffels and the Colosseums of the world – it’s about meeting new people, tasting little-known delicacies, or discovering a little-known beach! The experiential aspect of travel is what makes it exciting and unnerving all at once.

If I was planning a trip today, I would visit Ravenna! This Italian city is large, has 8 UNESCO sites, and isn’t too crowded! It is Italy’s best-kept secret and we’re taking you along ✨

You can wander through the Basilica di San Vitale and stare up at ceilings that rival the Sistine Chapel. Step into Dante’s tomb—yep, the OG poet rests here. Or simply explore the quiet cobblestone streets, artisan shops, and seaside breeze from nearby Marina di Ravenna 🌊.

If you’re not into crowds, this is perfect Italian city to visit! Ravenna gives you ancient Rome + Venice vibes, without the queues, the prices, or tourist hordes.This is your sign to skip the cliché cities and explore Italy beyond the tourist trails

If you want to plan a truly refreshing holiday to Italy, we would suggest skipping the big cities. Small towns are where the magic is—slow mornings, locals chatting in piazzas, real food made by nonnas, and fewer people ✨It’s calm, real, and honestly, way more memorable than chasing landmarks in the heat - the true essence of Italy lies in slowing down and enjoying the lil moments - they call it the Dolce Far Niente 🍝✨

Yep! Same place, 15 years later 😭🤭 Hi from Malta 👋
The tiny island of Malta was one of the first places we visited in Europe together- I remember saving up to stay at a small apartment on the outskirts of the city! And it was one of the first places we wrote about when we started ! Who remembers? ✈️🌍

A lot has happened in the past decade- both of us worked tirelessly towards our goal of a location-independent lifestyle, took stock of our finances, built a brand, packed our life in suitcases to travel full-time and set off on an adventure that has been truly life changing! 🌍

Our shared values bind us- the need to be financially independent, evolve and level up together, the need for freedom from structures, and live an extraordinary life - BUT believe me when I tell you this - none of this would’ve been possible without Savi by my side! 😇

Should we do this for every country we visit? 🌍✈️ What to pack (and what not to pack) for your trip to Qatar 👇☀️

Here’s a list of travel and packing essentials if you’re heading to Qatar — be it for a luxurious city break in Doha, desert adventure, or a cultural getaway! ✈️🌴

1. There is no dress code p***e (except in 1-2 places) but try to pack modest clothing especially if you’re planning to spend your days exploring public places, markets etc. For women, that means covering shoulders and knees; for men, no sleeveless tops or very short shorts ✨
Don’t pack overly revealing or sheer clothing for exploring the city, purely out of respect for local culture 😊

2. Lightweight, breathable fabrics — The heat in Qatar can be intense (especially from May to September), so pack linen, cotton, and other breathable clothes in light colors like white, beige, and soft pastels, especially for days out ☀️👕

3.Sunscreen (high SPF!) — Make sure to protect your skin,even in winter. 🧴☀️

4. A lightweight scarf or shawl — in case you need to cover up in more conservative areas. This is also handy for air-conditioned malls and restaurants — Even in the heat, indoor spaces can get chilly🧣

5. A dressier outfit or two — Doha is fashion-forward when it comes to fine dining or rooftop lounges. Bring something elegant for evenings out - both men & women really dress up in the evenings👠

6. Sunglasses & a wide-brimmed hat or cap — for daytime exploring or desert tours. 🕶️

7. Comfortable walking shoes — Doha’s Corniche, Souq Waqif, and Katara Cultural Village are best explored on foot. 👟

8. Swimwear. You can wear anything you like in your hotel but if you’re visiting a public beach, modest options are recommended 👙

9. Electronics & chargers — Qatar uses the British-style Type G plug, so make sure you bring an adapter 🔌

10. A small backpack or crossbody bag — Ideal for carrying essentials during day trips or walking tours. 🎒

It’s Gemini season & this year I took some time off social media & spent my birthday travelling with friends & fam!

Yes, there were presents but these are the things I’ll remember the most 😊👇

* reading the card & letter my mom sends with Vid each year, no matter where in the world we are 🎈
* Vid, the boy who behind all the short one-line captions here, actually wrote me a long letter - wut! 😭🎈
* My best friends postponing flights so we could spend the entire weekend together 🎈
* Unending scrumptious brunches - good food is fuel amiright? 🎈
* Watching Hans Zimmer live! Ever since I watched Interstellar, The Lion King, Love Actually, & Gladiator I’ve wanted to watch Hans Zimmer live! This year we made it happen and it was an unforgettable evening of music! 🎵
* Coming back to all all your DMs, stories, and some very sweet emails we received this weekend. Thank you - I will try my best to respond to each one of you personally 🎈
* A room full of flowers from friends all over the world 🎈
* Slow sunsets by the beach 🌅

With each passing year, I’m even more determined to design my life in a way that prioritises joy, intentional living, fulfilling wild dreams and wise ones, and keeping my loved ones close - so this was a good start indeed!

Desert Escape 🐪☀️ Just an hour outside Doha lies Ras Abrouq, where you can spend your time hiking & driving through moon-like landscapes at golden hour

If you have more than 2 days in Doha we would suggest spending a night here, in the countryside! Stay at Habitas Ras Abrouq — for sunset dips, stargazing suites, and slow mornings with panoramic views! And some truly delicious food 😋😭

Don’t come back without seeing Ras Abrouq’s rock formations, ancient fossils, traditional villages and skies that belong in a planetarium - the perfect escape from the hustle-bustle of Doha! 🌌🌟
