Bhangarh Fort – Most Haunted Place
Bhangarh Fort, Built in 17th Century, is located in Alwar district, at a driving distance of 04/05 Hrs from Delhi. This is also known as Most Haunted Place in India. There are various tale, which is enough to make you scary.
One Story says that It was built on a land of an ascetic, named Guru Balu Nath and due permission was taken by Maharaja Madho Singh with one rider that the shadow of the Fort should never fall on his house, other wise great tragedy will unfold. But when fort was built, the shadow engulfed the house and as a result of that, his curse engulfed Bhangarh.
The other story is even more chilling. As per locals, the princess of Bhangarh, Ratnawati was extremely beautiful and a magician of the region, fell in love with her. In order to get her, he put a black magic in the oil that princess was supposed to use. But some how, She came to know about it and threw off that oil to a huge boulder in the nearby.
The black magic worked and the Ta***ic was crushed to death. Before his last breath, the cursed the entire town of Bhangarh and since than it became Haunted. It is said that the people of Bhangarh can still be heard in Bhangarh Fort at Night.
The tourist has to leave the premises before sunset and same is clearly mentioned on the information boards at the site by ASI.
One can stay at Alwar, Sariska and Ramgarh. You can also make a same day trip from Jaipur, as it is around 85 kms.
