The Road to Baghdad, An Ultimate Discovery by Midasia Routes.

When we speak of ‘the fertile crescent’ as ‘the cradle of human civilization,’ we’re talking about Iraq—this is where it all began.”
How to summarize a country like Iraq? Cradled between the life-giving waters of the Tigris and Euphrates, this land has seen the rise and fall of Mesopotamia’s most resplendent civilizations. It is a land reputed to be the ancient home of the Garden of Eden, the Tower of Babel, and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and a land that bore witness to some of the most crucial early developments of Islam.
Yet to many travelers, envisioning Mesopotamia is one thing; envisioning Iraq conjures a wholly different set of perceptions. To many in the Western world, Iraq is a name from nightly news programs: a place of abundant oil, conflict, and political interference. My journey weaves both stories of Iraq into a single tapestry. Here, you gaze upon the earliest origins of human writing and the powerful political murals of Baghdad’s youth. You navigate among kingfishers in the serenity of the Mesopotamian Marshes, then drive through oil fields once lushly textured with date palms. You join hundreds of fervent worshipers at mosques and shrines, then mingle with locals at tea shops, cafes, and bookseller stalls.
Through periods of history both turbulent and hopeful, Midasia Routes has nurtured a long affection for Iraq and its people. We first offered trips to Iraqi Kurdistan in 2011, and our staff and guests have shared many cups of tea and courageous conversations with our Iraqi hosts. We are thrilled to once again invite our travelers to fall in love with both the wonders of ancient Mesopotamia and the determined resilience of modern Iraq.

Most of Namibia is covered by the Namib Desert, a harsh place that seems inhospitable to most life but in reality, is home to some of the most unique safari experiences in Africa. Wildlife gathers at ancient watering holes, so you don’t have to track them as they’ll come to you, including the elusive black rhino. On the Skeleton Coast, lions prowl the beach hunting seals with a haunting backdrop of shipwrecks on the shore.

A fascinating kingdom nestled in the Himalayas, Bhutan is one of the last places still untouched by mass tourism. This is done by design, and visitors numbers are strictly limited. Those fortunate to set foot in the country are enchanted by the stunning landscape, friendly people, and ancient customs that still thrive today. It’s the only place where the success of the country is measured by “Gross National Happiness."

Travel is my passion, however sharing my experiences and planning exclusive offbeat itineraries is my biggest passion. I win everyday, when my client calls me and tells me, that we had our best experience again. I reply my traveler and tell him to leave his footprints and bring the memories.
Yes, we are talking about one of the unspoiled, untouched hidden jewel of South East Asia-
The Landlocked loas, we are thinking about the Glory of Mekong, that is the source of life for many of the surrounding countries; Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. How can we forget the huge sandstone temples of Angkor Wat, built nearly 1000 years ago and unearthed from the Cambodian jungle last century, are considered one of man's most outstanding architectural achievements.
