Officially Flagged off ORWMC (Open Road Wonderer Motorcycle Club) to promote Sikkim Tourism: Tourism is a thriving industry today, unlike yesterday years; Consumer's appetite to spend for a good vacation has increased rapidly. Motorcycle tourism is the in thing today and with its rise, there has been rise in number of bikers club in India and ORWMC (Open Road Wonderer Motorcycle Club) is a name to reckon with in Sikkim.
In today’s times, lot of bikers are on the mission to spread awareness and responsible tourism. ORWMC, officially registered as a Motorcycle Club in Sikkim, is on a mission to bring laurels to Sikkim. After successfully organizing an event on su***de prevention and awareness a couple of months back, ORWMC adds yet another mission on their list. ORWMC club members will be riding all the way to Ladakh on the 18th of July from Sikkim, Tourism brings great revenues for a state and also brings challenges, so the club will ride with the motto “Visit Sikkim” and also spread the Message of Swatch Bharat “Don’t litter, let India Glitter”. On the auspicious occasion of Bhanu Jayanti, Tourism & Civil Aviation Minister of Sikkim, Shri Ugen T. Gyatso unveiled the ride banner and made the ride official. The club riders will pass through Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh before reaching Ladakh. On their way, they hope to meet people, engage with different cultures, let them know about Sikkim and spread a message of peace, goodwill.
