Sikkim is 2nd smallest state of India. Entire Sikkim is a mountainous region in the eastern Himalayas. Sikkim borders three countries, China in the north, Bhutan in the east, Nepal in the west. Sikkim is also the only fully organic state of India and have the least population. A part of the Eastern Himalaya, Sikkim is famous for its biodiversity with tropical, temperate, alpine and tundra vegetation. To the west is the great Kangchenjunga, the 3rd highest peak which is surrounded by vast region by the Khanchendzonga National Park. Sikkim's capital is in east district and largest city is Gangtok which is also the most popular tourist destination. Gangtok is the capital and has multiple attractions including the only place in entire eastern India where you can play casino. Entire state of Sikkim is dotted with places of tourist interest. There are majestic high altitude destinations like Yumthang Valley & Gurudogmar Lake. Famous Varsey Rhododendron Sanctuary is located in the West district and home to unique Red Panda. East Sikkim is a unique tourism destination popularly called Silk Route which connects with the Chinese occupied Tibet.
