Located at an altitude of 5200 ft, the temple of Vaishno Devi is dedicated to goddess Shakti. It is said that the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi was built by the Pandavas of Mahabharata.

Also, don’t forget to visit Charan paduka. As per the legends Vaishno Devi who was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu took the vow of Celibacy but Lord Bhairav chased her.
