📣🇬🇧 OTP Fun-facts 1 – Do you know that London Tube map was the 1st iconic “topological” design map which has been copied worldwide. 🗺

It’s basically a diagram that has been simplified with only vital information and all without any unnecessary geographical details.

Consider this – when you travel from Ghatkopar to Versova, do you care that Mithi river flows below. Essentially, all earlier maps were prepared like this.

It was an English draughtsman – Mr. Harry Beck who created this in 1931. First person with brilliant idea that Underground passengers are not concerned with geographical accuracy and were more interested in how to get from one station to another and where to change trains.

Side note – The framed version can be a perfect souvenir from your London trip or the pocket-free maps can be gifted to friends with the above story. 🎁🎁
