It feels like you have been blessed to see such thing once in a life and you got it right .

The sunrise and the sunsets depicts the happy and sad of all aspects that we could measure and compare our life with .

Some wants to catch it in the eyes and close it and keep it in for ever. Some tries to keep a souvenir and try to catch it in the lens and look at it forever .

Located at an altitude of 2730 mtr. Prashar is known for Prashar lake, sloppy meadows, dense forest and the panoramic view of snow clad ranges of Dhauladhar. The “Prashar Lake” which has perimeter of about 300 mtr. is decorated by a floating island in it. Its crystal clear water adds to the charm of this scenic spot.

It is believed that Sage Prashar meditated on the banks of this lake, hence it is named as Prashar Lake. Bhima, one of the Pandava brothers, had created the lake. The story says, after the Kurukshetra / Mahabharat war, Pandavas were returning with Lord Kamrunag. When they reached this place, Kamrunag loves the tranquil surroundings and decides to live here forever. So, Bheem (the strongest of the lot) rams his elbow on one of the mountains and creates a big dent in the land. This dent became Prashar Lake.

Till now no one has been able to find out the depth of Prashar Lake..

Leaving the din of the city behind and heading up towards the chilly altitudes of the mountains, we pass tiny hamlets and towns with colourful prayer flags, casually strung and fluttering serenely in the breeze overhead. They make for a welcoming sight for weary travelers and bestow good wishes on the surrounding area. But ever wondered what the colours of those flags really signify?

The answer is rooted in Buddhism. The Tibetan term for prayer flag is 'Dar Cho'. The term 'Dar' means to augment health, wealth, happiness, life and fortune and 'Cho' refers to living beings.
These colourful flags signify the basic elements which form physical bodies and the environment, like water, earth, fire and air.

EVERY FLAG STANDS FOR DIFFERENT ELEMENTS.
The white flags stand for the element of air -
If meditated upon, white can cut the delusion of ignorance and turn it into the wisdom of reality.
