Happy National Tourism Day!
Did you know that in 1958,Indian Government acknowledged the importance of tourism in development of the economy that led to creation of tourism as a department?
This was done to preserve historical places and create access for tourists to visit and appreciate heritage sites and monuments.
Thus National Tourism Day was created in order to create awareness of India's pristine and diverse tourist places to rest of the world,resulting in developing the sector as well.

This year's theme is 'Rural and Community centric Tourism'.
As we embark on our 3rd year of a global pandemic,the need for recognizing the importance of rural communities and their contribution to agriculture as well as tourism became much prominent.
As we learn and practice sustainable and eco friendly ways of life,tourism can benefit tremendously from adopting long term solutions through community driven practices of the tourism industry.

Kohima War Cemetary
Located in the heart of Kohima,this cemetary was built as a memorial to the fallen soldiers of 2nd British Division of the Allied Forces during Second World War,1944.
The cemetary ground originally served as tennis court for the Deputy Commissioner's residence.
In 1944 when the Japanese attacked the Commonwealth in Kohima,a small but powerful contingent held their grounds firmly until reinforcements arrived.Although the DC bunglow was destroyed in the war,the Japanese were forced to retreat on this very same grounds.A turning point for the Allied Forces,the cemetary was built to pay homage to 1421 casualties of the brave battle fought in the Garrison Hill.

Freshly mowed lawns and manicured gardens adorn this historical landmark,overlooking the Kohima town.A must-visit destination for history lovers,the cemetary is truly beautiful..

Adventurer, Explorer, Wanderer, Nature-Lover, Traveller or Fun-Lover whatever you call yourself, you are on the perfect and right zone. Adventure’s Abode have the love and passion to discover and have the mission to make destinations which often cannot be found on regular maps. Some of the best outdoor travel experiences in India which we enable are lush valley, craggy mountain, winding rivers, dense forests etc. Our network of Outdoors Lodges & Camps in the Eastern Himalayas (N.E. region) enables us to support our Outdoors Trips and Activities like white water rafting, trekking, mountain biking, caving, wildlife safari, motorbiking trips, rock climbing, paragliding, para-motoring, parasailing, kayaking, birding, festival tours, cultural tours, island tours, road trips and camping among others.

Safety is our prime concern. With the years of experience and vast knowledge, we hold expertise in our respective domain. Be its trekking and cycling on tough Himalayan terrain or a technical climbing or rafting on the mighty Indian rivers, our guides are good in everything. All our tour guides and managers are well-trained and qualified. They all have gone through a tough training schedule under the supervision of instructors from National Institute Mountaineering (NIM), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) and other reputed adventure Institute in India. Our managers have personally explored each track along with our guides to ensure that tracks are safe to walk on for our clients. Their vast knowledge about the treks and extensive research help us to design a well-organised adventure tour that can meet the demands of our clients.
