Why we say that this museum is very rich! The seashells collection is vast and varied.

All the seashells of the world are classified in seven classes. Of these seven the animals in one class- aplacophora- do not have a solid shell. Animals belonging to another class- monoplacophora- are so small and live at great depths that no museum has these shells.

This museum has a rich collection of shells from the other five classes.
