Ganesh Chaturthi, a prominent and significant festival in Hindu culture, is celebrated every year to commemorate the birth of Lord Ganesha. Lasting for about 10 days, with the biggest celebrations occurring on the first and last days. Homes and public spaces are decorated with clay idols of Lord Ganesha and worshipped with offerings like sweets and flowers. Rituals and prayers are performed by devotees to honour the day. The festival culminates with the 'visarjan’, which symbolises the brief visit by the deity and his return the following year. Ganesh Chaturthi strengthens communal harmony, bringing people together.
