Elephant Falls is a popular tourist attraction located near Shillong. This waterfall is a three-tiered waterfall formed by the water flowing through rocks and boulders. The falls get their name from a rock resembling an elephant near the foot of the falls. However, the elephant-shaped rock was destroyed in an earthquake.
