A beautiful narration of Ganesh Fesitval by Mr. Eknath Samanth of Karwar.
Translated in English.
Bappa Mor Ya.
Hartalika came, Chaturthi came. And today is Panchami. The festival that we have been waiting for with great anticipation for the past month, cleaning the house with dung, painting the house with lime or paint, putting up the flag on the porch, tying the pot on the top of the Ganpati seat f Welcome to the big dance floor Karaich.
Hartalika is, Chaturthi is and today is Panchami. Ganpati Bappa arrived yesterday and today he will say goodbye to his devotees. If He was to go so soon, why should He come to this earth on horseback? It is only natural to feel the boundless love of Ganpati Bappa!
From morning, people from our village went around the village to see Ganpati Bappa, the arrangement of Makhar and the scene made in everyone's house in front of Ganpati Bappa. Someone's house alone is playing cards. The women and children have left the village wearing zimma and fugdi. When I was hungry, I served crispy nevri and modka. The afternoon prasad and dinner program was over and suddenly it was already late.
Bhatji has asked us to start the ritual of Ganpati visarjan at 7 pm. All the Ganpatis in the village will go out for visarjan at the same time. Midnight will turn until the final immersion in the celebration of bhajans, dindi and flags. Perhaps the snow will burst and the whole village will change their clothes for a while with two copper waters on their bodies.
In the evening, all the villagers will go to each other's houses for Ghumat Aarti and Ganpati Visarjana.
And after that, you will see a painful and heartbreaking scene.
During these three evenings, until midnight or dawn, there are a number of people in each household, including the elderly, the elderly, those who cannot walk or speak, or those who are physically or mentally disabled. Those in this house have only one thing to do. I would sit and wait for the Bhatjis and those who came to perform Aarti.
These elderly and disabled people want to play zimma and fugdya, play cards at night, play drums, percussion instruments, shamels and cymbals. They feel like they are playing the abhang, they feel like the cows are singing, they feel like they are dancing to the rhythm of the dindi and the alarm, they feel like sitting on the balcony of the house all night chatting.
But Their bodies do not support them because they are old. He doesn't know when his eyes fell asleep. He likes peanut butter, khanvad and shevya khir. But even if the tongue accompanies, the stomach is upset. Moreover, he is not sure whether he will be able to see the fourth of next year.
Until the worshipers come, these people sit looking at God and pray to Bappa in their hearts, " Do something, but don't put us on the mat. Give us death while we are walking and talking. May your unbroken blessings be upon this household after we leave. May they serve you every year.
The body is tired. It must have been their bedtime. It is past twelve o'clock in the middle of the night and these old, disabled people, unknowingly, have fallen asleep before saying goodbye to Ganpati Bappa. She is asleep like a little child, her limbs knotted in her seat.
According to the laws of nature, the sight will be opened. But Ganpati Bappa sitting in Makhar in Dimakha will not be seen by those adults. At that time Ganpati Bappa would have reached his house...telling the gods about the evil and sweet things about the earth
