മാർച്ച് 8 വനിതാദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ഫോഗ് റിസോർട്ട് മൂന്നാറിലേക്ക് വനിതകൾക്കായി താമസവും ഫുഡും കലാപരിപാടികളുമായി എല്ലാവരെയും ക്ഷണിച്ചു. ഒരു മാസം മുമ്പ് മൂന്നാർ പോയതുകൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങൾ ഉടനെയില്ല എന്ന് പറയുകയുണ്ടായി. അന്ന് തിരികെ വന്നപ്പോൾ ഫോഗ് റിസോർട്ടിന്റെ ആദിത്യ മര്യാദ നേരിട്ട് അനുഭവിച്ചറിഞ്ഞതാണ്. അന്നും നമ്മൾക്ക് നാലുപേർക്കും ഷിനു ചന്ദന (ഹോളിഡേ ക്യാപ്ചെർസ്) അസ്മിൻ ബേക്കർ (ഇഷാ ഹോളിഡേയ്‌സ്) സമ്ത അഗർവാൾ (തെരെ ഡെസ്റ്റിനേഷൻസ്) ഗീതു ജ്യോതിഷ് (വെയിലർ ഹോളിഡേയ്‌സ്) ഉച്ചയൂണും, ഗംഭിര സ്വികരണവും ഫോഗ് ജി. എം പ്രവീൺ മേനോൻ തന്നതാണ്. റൂമൊക്കെ കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടും, മുൻപും പോയിട്ടുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടും ഞങ്ങൾ ക്ഷണം നിരസിച്ചു. പക്ഷെ പ്രവീൺ മേനോൻ അതിന്റെ സംഘാടകർ, ഉമേഷ് അവരുടെ നിർബന്ധത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ പിന്നെയും പോകാം എന്ന് തീരുമാനിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. പോയി കഴിഞ്ഞ് മനസിലായി പോയില്ലായിരുന്നേൽ അത് ഒരു വലിയ നഷ്ടമായിപ്പോയേനെ എന്ന്.വളരെ ക്ഷമയോടും സ്നേഹത്തോടും കൂടിയുള്ള അവരുടെ സമീപനം മറക്കാനെ പറ്റുന്നതല്ല. 9 മണിക്ക് വൈറ്റിലയിൽ നിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടും എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞെങ്കിലും എല്ലാവരും വരാൻ വൈകിയത് കൊണ്ട് 9.45 ഓളം ആയി പുറപ്പെടാൻ തന്നെ. ഈ പറയുന്ന ഞാനും എത്തിയപ്പോൾ 9.10 ആയിരുന്നു. അപ്പോഴേക്കും എന്റെ ബസ് ഏറെക്കുറെ നിറഞ്ഞായിരുന്നു. എനിക്ക് അവർ സീറ്റ് ഒക്കെ പിടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ബസ്സ് പുറപ്പെട്ട് 10 മിനിറ്റായില്ലാ അപ്പോഴേക്കും ഉമേഷ് ബിസ്ക്കറ്റ് മാംഗോ ജ്യൂസ് ഒക്കെ തന്നു. ബ്രേക്ക് ഫാസ്റ്റ് കഴിക്കാതെ വന്നവർക്ക് അത് വളരെ വലിയ ആശ്വാസമായി. പിന്നെ കുറച്ച് സെവനപ്പും, ലൈസും ഒക്കെ ആയങ്ങു കൂടി എന്നു പറയാം. വണ്ടി വിട്ടതും ഉമേഷ് ഡാൻസ് കളിക്കാൻ ഒക്കെ പറഞ്ഞു. കേറിയ ഉടനെ ആയോണ്ടും അങ്ങോട്ടും ഇങ്ങോട്ടും പരിചയമില്ലാതതുകൊണ്ടും ആദ്യം ആരും തയ്യാറായില്ല. ഉമേഷ് സ്റ്റാർട്ട് ചെയ്തു നോക്കി. പിന്നെ ഞാൻ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഇത്തിരി അലമ്പും, അല്പം കോൺഫിഡൻസ് കൂടുതലായോണ്ടും ഞാൻ കളിക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. laila me laila ഡാൻസ് അങ്ങ് കളിച്ചു. അതോടെ എല്ലാവരും ആക്റ്റീവ് ആയി. പിന്നെ തുരുതുരെ മത്സരമെന്നോണം ഡാൻസും, പാട്ടും അന്താക്ഷരിയും ഒക്കെയായി കളർഫുൾ ആയി. പിന്നെ മൂന്നാർ എത്താറായപ്പോൾ എല്ലാവർക്കും ക്ഷീണമായി ഞാൻ ചെറിയൊരു വാളും വെച്ചു ഒന്നിനും നമ്മൾ കുറയ്ക്കരുതല്ലോ. അതു കഴിഞ്ഞ് ഫോഗിൽ എത്തിയും, ഗംഭീര സ്വീകരണം. ചെണ്ടകൊട്ടിയും സാരിയുടുത്ത് മലയാളി മങ്കകളായി സ്റ്റാഫുകൾ ഒക്കെ നിരന്നുനിൽക്കുന്നത് കാണേണ്ട ഒരു കാഴ്ച തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. കുറിയും അരുളിമാലയും ഒക്കെ ഇട്ട് അവർ നമ്മളെ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്തു. പിന്നെ വെൽക്കം ഡ്രിങ്ക്സ് ഒക്കെ തന്ന് നമ്മളെ കംഫർട്ട് ആക്കി ഇരുത്തി. വെൽക്കം ചെയ്യാൻ മുൻനിരയിൽ പ്രവീൺ മേനോൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. മീഡിയക്കാരൊക്കെ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവർ നമ്മളോട് അഭിപ്രായം ചോദിച്ചപ്പോൾ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞത് ഞാനാണ്. പിന്നെ ലിമിയും (ടി.പി.സി വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ്) എല്ലാരു ഒത്തിരി സ്മാർട്ടായ പെൺകുട്ടികളായിരുന്നു. ഉച്ചയൂണൊക്കെ ഗംഭീരമായിരുന്നു. നെയ്മീൻ ഫ്രൈ, ചെമ്മീൻ ഫ്രൈ, ചിക്കൻ, ബീഫ്, മട്ടൻ എല്ലാമുണ്ടായി.
നല്ല രുചിയുള്ള ഭക്ഷണമായിരുന്നു എന്ന് എടുത്തു പറയാതെ വയ്യ. അതിനേക്കാൾ ഒക്കെ ഉപരി സ്റ്റാഫിന്റെ പെരുമാറ്റവും അവരെല്ലാം വളരെ ആക്ടീവായി നമ്മൾക്ക് വേണ്ടി നടക്കുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഊണ് കഴിഞ്ഞ് എല്ലാവരും വിശ്രമിക്കാൻ പോയി. ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് രണ്ട് ബെഡ്റൂം വില്ലയാണ് കിട്ടിയത്. വളരെ വിശാലമായ മുറികളും ഹാളും, കിച്ചണും ബാൽക്കണിയും ഉണ്ടായി. ഞങ്ങൾ നാലുപേരും ഒരുമിച്ചായിരുന്നു. കുറച്ചുപേർ വിശ്രമിക്കാൻ പോയെങ്കിലും കുറച്ചുപേർ ആക്ടീവായി അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഗെയിംസുകളും, മൈലാഞ്ചി ഇടലും, പടം വരയ്ക്കുന്നവരും ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ടായി. ഫോഗ്റിസോർട്ട് വളരെ വിപുലമായി തന്നെ എല്ലാം അറേഞ്ച് ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. അതിനുശേഷം ഏഴു മണിയോടെ പാട്ടും, കലാപരിപാടികളുമായി വളരെ നല്ല രസമായി. എല്ലാവരും റെഡ് കളർ ഡ്രെസ്സിൽ അതീവ സുന്ദരികളായിരുന്നു. ഓണർ ജോളി സർന്റ്റെ സാന്നിധ്യവും അവരുടെ തന്നെ സഹോദര സ്ഥാപനമായ വൈബ് ജി.എം ബേസിലിന്റെ സാന്നിധ്യവും ഒന്നുകൂടെ പ്രൗഢഗംഭീരമാക്കി. പലരുടെയും കലാപരിപാടികൾ ഉണ്ടായി. എല്ലാം ഒന്നിനൊന്നു മെച്ചമായിരുന്നു. മാത്രമല്ല ഒത്തിരി പരിപാടികൾ ഫോഗ് റിസോർട്ടിന്റെ പുറത്തുനിന്നും അറേഞ്ച് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അരുൺ കലാഭവന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഉള്ള ഗാനമേളയും ഒക്കെ എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ടതാണ്. അവിടെ അവർ നമുക്കായി കേക്കും അറേഞ്ച് ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. 91 ലേഡി ഏജൻസുകളും സ്റ്റാഫുകളും ഒക്കെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. സ്ത്രീകളുടെ ദിവസമാണ് എന്ന് തോന്നത്തക്ക രീതിയിൽ അവർ എല്ലാം ഒരുക്കിയിരുന്നു. D.J പോലും അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത് ചെന്നൈയിൽ നിന്ന് വന്ന ഒരു ലേഡി ആണ്. Unlimitted mocktail ലും D.J യും ഒക്കെ ആയി മൊത്തം കളർഫുൾ ആയി. അതിവിപുലമായി വളരെ ഗ്രാൻഡ് ആയ ഡിന്നറും. അതും കഴിഞ്ഞ് രാത്രിയിലെ നൈറ്റ് സഫാരിയും ജി. എം പ്രവീൺ മേനോന്റെ പാട്ടുകളും പ്രൗഢ ഗംഭീരമാക്കി. ഒരു കുറവും പറയാനില്ലായിരുന്നു. അത്ര ഭംഗിയായി അവരത് ചെയ്തു. അടുത്ത ദിവസം രാവിലെ ബ്രേക്ക് ഫാസ്റ്റ് ഒക്കെ കഴിഞ്ഞ് വൈബിലേക്കാണ് കൊണ്ടുപോയത്. ഫോഗ് നടത്തിയെങ്കിലും ഒരു വെടിക്ക് രണ്ടു പക്ഷികൾ എന്നപോലെ വൈബും ഗംഭീര സ്വീകരണം നൽകി. ചെണ്ടകൊട്ടും പാട്ടും ബേസിൽ ജി .എം എല്ലാപേരെയും പൊന്നാട അണിയിച്ചു സ്വീകരിച്ചു. ഉച്ചയൂണും ബുഫെയായി ഗ്രാൻഡ് ആയി നൽകി. പിന്നെ പോകുന്ന വഴി കേരള ഫാം വിസിറ്റും തന്നു. ഒപ്പം അവരുടെ വക ഗിഫ്റ്റും. പോരാൻനേരവും ഫോഗും വൈബും പ്രത്യേകം ഗിഫ്റ്റ് തരാനും മറന്നില്ല. എല്ലാ പേരുടെയും ഇൻട്രൊഡക്ഷൻ സ്പീച്ചും പ്രശംസകളും അവർ ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി.
ഓരോ സ്റ്റാഫും പ്രശംസ അറിയിക്കുന്നു അത്രയ്ക്ക് ഔട്ട്സ്റ്റാൻഡിങ് ആയി അവർ നിന്നു എന്ന് ഓർക്കുന്നു.
സ്ത്രീകൾക്കെല്ലാം ഇത്രയും അവിസ്മരണീയമായ നല്ല ഓർമ്മകൾ സമ്മാനിച്ച് ഫോഗ് വൈബ് ടീമിന് ഒരായിരം നന്ദി.
