Pedong is a small village in Kalimpong district. An ideal place for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Only softness in the dense shade of oak, pine, birch trees. Check out Kanchenjunga, Kabru, Pandim from Pedong. The Teesta flows through the gorges of the mountains. The peaceful spread of tea gardens all around. Mountains, forests, rivers - all together the whole nature is Pedong. The quiet little mountain village is still largely unknown. Siliguri is located at a distance of 86'km from NJP and at an altitude of about 5000'feet, three to four hours drive. Located on the border of Sikkim, this small town of North Bengal belongs to Kalimpong district. From Kalimpong, you have to go to Pedong. Pedong is full of unique experiences that drive us back to the mountains again and again. Being an offbeat destination, no grand hotels have been built here. But from the homestay developed here, travelers can understand the meaning of Himalayan hospitality. March to June and October to December are the best season time to visit.
★Sightseeing places around Pedong- Rami Viewpoint, Silent Valley, Sangchen Dorji Gumpha, Damsang Fort, an old church, Cross Hill, Mudung Falls, Mulkharka Lake, Arita Lake, Rishikhola etc. are all day trips. But for those travelers who don't like the hustle and bustle of sightseeing, but only want to appreciate the solitude of nature, this Pedong will be the best address.

★How to go- The distance from New Jalpaiguri to Pedong is 87'km. Approximate small car rental @ Rs.3,500/- Big car rental @ Rs.4,000/-Distance from Kalimpong is 23 km.

Known as the 'mini Switzerland' of Uttarakhand, Chopta (at an altitude of approximately 2,608 m) is a slice of paradise in the Garhwal Himalayas. Surrounded by Bagyal or velvety grasslands and pristine snow-capped peaks, Chopta is a year-round holiday destination: pleasant in summer, rain-refreshing in monsoon and a snow-capped wonderland in winter. At the heart of Chopta Panch Kedar – the five holiest Shiva temples in the state. To its left are Kedarnath and Madmaheshwar temples and to its right are Rudranath and Kalpeshwar and just above itTungnath Temple is located. Chopta is a bird paradise and you can see more than 240 species of birds here, including endemic and migratory species like Himalayan Monal, Himalayan Swiftlet, Himalayan Griffon, Scarlet Finch, Hill Partridge etc. Nearby places like Dugalbitta, Mandal Village, Makkumath and Tungnath trek route are the best sites to visit our feathered friends. Chopta is an important bird watching site by national and international conservation and biodiversity organizations. The trek is considered as one of the most beautiful and easy treks in the Garhwal Himalayas. It is an ideal trek for beginners, families and students. We can see all major peaks of Uttarakhand from Chandrasila peak. Tungnath is worshiped as the third Kedar (one of the five sacred Shiva temples in Uttarakhand). Jhapi is a small unknown village in Darjeeling district. But this jump is only 35 km away from Darjeeling. It can be a wonderful destination for your two-day vacation. You will love the beauty and hospitality of the newly built farm house here. The weather here is also wonderful. This farm house is located on the rice paddy fields on the hills. Everywhere you look, there are hills surrounded by greenery and paddy fields. And a river flows continuously through the village. Where you can spend the whole day with your family.
