-ITINERARY-

24th December:
Will start our journey from Kolkata to New Jalpaiguri Station. ( You can choose your mode of journey bus/ train/ flight because it's not included in the package)

25th December:
After reaching New Jalpaiguri our cars will pick us up for Lungchok an offbeat village of East Sikkim. Altitude 7000ft. from sea level. Will stay there at a beautiful homestay and will celebrate Xmas with the locals.

26th December:
Early morning after witnessing beautiful sunrise and the Mt. Kanchenjunga will proceed towards another offbeat village Rolep, altitude 4000ft. After reaching Rolep we will go for camping directly at riverside. The place is called Chachal by the locals. It's a 3km hike from the Rolep village through the jungle. Guide, porter, cook will be there with us. And it's completely safe for girls. Our night stay will be there at tents. Just carry small luggage for camping.

27th December:
Returning from campsite will heading towards Zuluk the main destination of Silk Route, altitude 9400ft. And get ready for the ultimate chilly weather at Zuluk. On the way will visit Kue Khola waterfalls, Zig Zag road.

28th December:
Early morning after breakfast will proceed to Gangtok via Thambi view point, Gnathang Valley, Kupup Lake, Old Baba Mandir, New Baba Mandir, Tsomgo Lake. After reaching Gangtok hotel you can go for shopping to MG Marg.

29th December:
After having some beautiful memories today we will goodbye Sikkim and heading back to New Jalpaiguri Station.

30th December:
In the morning we will reach Kolkata.

29/4/22: Pick up from New Jalpaiguri Station/ Bagdogra Airport and drive to Okhrey . Night stay at Okhrey.

30/4/22- Early morning trek to Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary. It's a small and easy trek through the woods. Will see lot of Rhododendron flowers during the full trek. Have lunch there. And back to homestay in the afternoon. Night stay at Okhrey.

1/5/22- Okhrey to Pelling. Sightseeing at Pelling like India's first Skywalk, Kanchenjunga Falls, Rimbi orange garden, Rimbi river, Khechupalri Lake etc. Night stay at Pelling.

2/5/22- Pelling to Ravangla. Sightseeing at Ravangla like Buddha Park, Namchi Chardham etc . Night stay at Ravangla.

3/5/22- Back to New Jalpaiguri Station/ Bagdogra Airport.

📍Day 1: Reporting at NJP. Drive to Uttarey through Namchi,Pelling. Overnight stay at Homestay. Complete the registration and demonstration to be given by the Trek Leader.

📍Day 2: After the Breakfast Trek to Achalley Dara.(5kms) Overnight stay at camp. Enjoy the view of KhanchenDzonga.

📍Day 3: After morning breakfast,trek to Kalijhar via ThuloDhaap(7kms.).Experience the natural balcony of the Kalijhar. Overnight stay at camp.

📍Day 4: Get ready at the dawn at around 4 a.m. in the morning and Hike to PhokteyDara Top. Experience the amazing sunrise on the high peaks of the world. Return to Kalijhar. After breakfast trek to Phalut via Singalila top crossing the Singalila Ridge.(12kms) Overnight Stay at Hut/Homestay.

📍Day 5: After breakfast descending trek to Gorkhey.(14Kms). Overnight stay at Homestay.

📍Day 6: After breakfast short trek to Bhareng. Then Drive to NJP.

Leave only footprints,take the memories and experience.

Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world and in India, at an elevation of 5,430 m according to the Government of Sikkim. It is located in the Great Himalayas in the Indian state of Sikkim, and considered sacred by Buddhists, Sikhs and Hindus.

Gurudongmar literally means ‘The Red-Faced Guru’ and sounds similar to ‘Guru Dragmar’, which means the red-coloured wrathful form of Guru Padmasambhava. While some attribute the lake’s name to Guru Nanak, who is believed to have visited the place, others claim that it is named after Guru Rinpoche. The lake thus remains a popular pilgrimage site for both Buddhists and Sikhs.

The Story Behind the Lake:

There’s an intriguing tale surrounding Gurudongmar Lake. It is said that Guru Nanak Sahib visited the lake on his way to China and Tibet. The shepherds of the place gathered before the Guru and pleaded before him about the problem of non-availability of drinking water in the region. Due to the extreme cold climate, the water in the lake would freeze and the shepherds had to melt the ice to get water.
On hearing their plight, Guru Nanak took his walking stick and touched the frozen lake with it. The area melted into water and has not frozen ever since, even when the temperature in the area drops even lower than -30°C. It is after this miraculous event that the lake came to be known as Gurudongmar Lake. The water of this lake is considered sacred till this day.

Sandakphu is part of Singalila range. The trekking route passes through Singalila National Park which is another attraction of this trek. The park boasts rare animals like Red Pandas and Pangolins & a wide variety of birds. Offering you epic views of the Kanchenjunga range known as the "Sleeping Buddha", Sandakphu Phalut trek is a moderate trek ideal for both beginners and experienced trekkers alike looking for a simple yet stunning display of landscapes and scenery. Being one of the best treks in the Eastern Part of India close to the Sikkim border, Sandakphu Phalut trek is best done from September to April making it one of the best winter treks there is.
