* Zojilla Pass opening is highly dynamic and can be closed due to heavy snow fall. In case the pass remains closed, we will have to re-route our journey and skip Kargil (Apricot Blooms). Our journey will continue to visit Daksum National Park (to see Snow leopards and rare species of antelopes specific to Kashmir) or visit the Wular Lake (Asia's largest freshwater lake). These are secondary options only to be pursued in case of Zojila not operating.
* Tulips and Apricot blossoms are natural phenomena and their bloom volume can't be guaranteed.

Day Wise Itinerary:

15th April, Day 1: Arrival at Srinagar. Before Check-in visit the Tulip Gardens. Lunch and check-in to your hotel. Later visit the Mughal Gardens and other sights of prominence. Dinner and overnight in Srinagar.

16th April, Day 2: After breakfast, check-out and transfer to Pahalgam. En-route, visit the Aharabal Falls (time permitting). Upon arrival at Pahalgam visit the Lidder River Valley. Lunch en-route. Rest day at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Pahalgam.

17th April, Day 3: After breakfast, the day is free at leisure to explore Pahalgam on your own or go for an optional tour to Aru and Bettab Valley and Chadarwari. Lunch in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Pahalgam.

18th April, Day 4: Check-out after breakfast and transfer to Gulmarg. Upon arrival at Gulmarg, proceed for the Gondola Ride. Lunch in the afternoon. Rest day at leisure to explore Gulmarg on own. Dinner and overnight in Gulmarg.

19th April, Day 5: Check-out after breakfast and proceed to Sonmarg. Upon arrival at Sonmarg, the day is free to try optional adventure sports or take Pony rides. Lunch and dinner at a restaurant. Overnight in Sonmarg.

20th April, Day 6: Today, after breakfast, we embark on a long journey to Kargil Dras. Cross the Zojilla Pass and Zero Point, Lunch en-route. Stop by the Kargil War memorial and proceed to hotel. Dinner and overnight at Kargil.

21st April, Day 7: Today, after breakfast proceed to visit the Hunderman Village / A***n Valley for Apricot Blossoms. Explore the rugged beauty of nature, studded with the white blooms. Local lunch. Dinner and overnight at Kargil.

22nd April, Day 8: After breakfast, check-out and transfer to Srinagar (5.5 hrs drive) Lunch at Srinagar. Time is free to cover the unseen sights of Srinagar. Later enjoy a 1-hour shikara ride at Dal Lake during sunset. Proceed to your houseboat and check-in. Dinner and overnight stay at Houseboat, Srinagar.

23rd April, Day 9: Today you can check-out leisurely after breakfast and have a time on own. (Lunch on own). You will be transferred to the airport in the afternoon for evening flight back home.

Last year I went for a short trip to Sikkim. It was a sudden plan to get out of the frustration of lockdown and monotonous life. Since I am a fan of eco spots, I choose to stay at Hill Top Rabong Resort, Ravangla.

We chose November end thinking of it as an off-season for Sikkim. Little did we know that we are in for a treat - THE CHERRY BLOSSOM!!!

The cherry blossom is not found in every part of Sikkim. It is restricted to Ravangla and Temi. Some of you may have heard about the Temi Tea Garden, but it is a real pleasure to visit the tea garden during the cherry blossom season.

After a year of planning and waiting, I have finally prepared an itinerary for this tour. If you don't want to spend lakhs on Japanese Cherry Blossom, you can visit our neighboring state Sikkim.
