We went to the mountains again. After spending a few days close to the nature has created a different feeling for each of us. And without whose contribution , we would not be able to witness this extraordinary experience at all, this writing is intended for them today.
You all did a wonderful job. Starting from following all the instructions sincerely, you all supported and co-operated each other all the time.
This gesture of yours is definitely appreciable. Without your co-operation, enthusiasm, hard work and positive mentality this trek might not be so beautiful.
"An honest effort can bring a big achievement" - you all proved it very well.
Congratulations team. We will surely go for more more adventurers together, in near future. Till then be safe and be healthy.

গতবছর ১লা ডিসেম্বর থেকে শুরু হয়েছিল ২৩ তম হর্নবিল ফেস্টিভ্যাল। সেভেন সিস্টার খ্যাত সাত রাজ্যের অন্যতম রাজ্য হল নাগাল্যান্ড। ভৌগোলিক অবস্থান অনুযায়ী, পূর্বে মায়ানমার এবং অরুনাচলপ্রদেশ, পশ্চিমে ও উত্তরে আসাম এবং দক্ষিণে মণিপুরের মাঝে প্রায় ১৬৫৭৯ বর্গ কিমি অঞ্চল জুড়ে রয়েছে, রহস্যে মোড়া, অত্যন্ত প্রাণবন্ত, ঐতিহ্যবাহী, সংস্কৃতিতে ভরপুর অপূর্ব সুন্দর এই রাজ্য।
প্রতি বছরই ডিসেম্বরের ১ তারিখ থেকে শুরু হয় হর্নবিল ফেস্টিভ্যাল। এবছর এই ফেস্টিভ্যাল ২৩ বছরে পড়ল। নাগাল্যান্ডের রাজধানী কোহিমা থেকে প্রায় ১২কিমি দূরে অবস্থিত হেরিটেজ গ্রাম কিসামাতে এবারের অনুষ্ঠানের উদ্বোধন করলেন দেশের উপ রাষ্ট্রপতি শ্রী জগদীশ ধানখড়। এদিন তাঁর পরনে ছিল নাগাল্যান্ডের ঐতিহ্যবাহী শাল আমুলা কাসকা আর পালক লাগানো টুপি সীপি। উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন নাগাল্যান্ডের গভর্নর জগদীশ মুখি, মুখ্যমন্ত্রী নেইফিউ রিও এ এবং অন্যান্যরা।
এবারের উৎসবে অংশগ্রহণকারী মোট আঠারোটি উপজাতি হল - আংগামী, রেংমা, জেলিয়াং, কুকি, কাছারি, ছাকহেসাং, পোচারী, ছাঙ, আও, কোনিয়াক, ফোম, খিয়ামনিউনগান, ইয়িমখিউয়ং, লাংটাম, লোঠা, লুমি, তিখহিরস এবং গারো।
হর্নবিল উৎসবের বিভিন্ন পর্যায়ে বিভিন্ন উপস্থাপনের মাধ্যমে নাগাল্যান্ডের নানা উপজাতির সংস্কৃতি, জীবনযাপনের গল্প, তাদের সুখ-দুঃখের ইতিবৃত্ত তুলে ধরা হয়। মূল এরিনার আশেপাশে বেশ বড় একটা জায়গা জুড়ে বিভিন্ন উপজাতির বাড়ি ঘরের প্রমাণাকৃতির মডেল রয়েছে। সেখানে চোখে পড়ে, তাদের বৈচিত্রময় বসবাস পদ্ধতি, খাবার-দাবার, পোশাক-পরিচ্ছদ ইত্যাদি।
উৎসবের প্রধান আকর্ষণগুলোর মধ্যে রয়েছে ঐতিহ্যবাহী নাগা মোরুংস প্রদর্শনী এবং শিল্প ও কারুশিল্প বিক্রি, খাবারের স্টল, ভেষজ ওষুধের স্টল, ফুলের শো এবং বিক্রয়, গান এবং নাচ, তীরন্দাজি, নাগা কুস্তি, আদিবাসী গেম, ওপেন এয়ার সিনেমা, সঙ্গীত কনসার্ট, রান্না প্রতিযোগিতা আরো অনেক কিছু। হর্নবিল ফেস্টিভ্যালকে মূলত নাচ, গান, অভিনয়, প্যারেড, খেলাধুলা, খাদ্য মেলা এবং ধর্মীয় অনুষ্ঠানের একটি রঙিন মিশ্রণ হিসেবে ধরা যেতে পারে।
এই অনুষ্ঠান দেখার জন্য বিভিন্ন দেশের পর্যটকরা উপস্থিত হয়েছিলেন এই গ্রামে। এদেশের বিভিন্ন রাজ্য থেকেও বহু মানুষ জড়ো হয়েছিলেন নাগাল্যান্ডে।
সারাদিন নিজেদের সভ্যতা, সংস্কৃতি বিশ্বের দরবারে তুলে ধরার পর, অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণকারীদের গ্যালারি পরিষ্কার করার দৃশ্য সকলের মন ছুঁয়ে ছিল।

মালদা শহর দুটি ভাগে বিভক্ত l মিউনিসিপালিটি অনুসারে পুরোনো মালদা এবং ইংলিশ বাজার, এই দুই নিয়ে মালদা মিউনিসিপ্যালিটি তৈরী হয়েছে l মালদা বলতে গেলে অপেক্ষাকৃত নতুন শহর l আসল ইতিহাস লুকিয়ে গৌড় নামক একটি স্থানে যা শুরুতে রাজা শশাঙ্কের, পরে পাল বংশ, সেন বংশ হয়ে স্বাধীন মুসলিম শাসক ইলিয়াস শাহীর হাতে এসে পড়ে l প্রায় একশো বছর লখনৌতি নামে রাজধানী হয়েও ছিলো মুঘলদের হাতে পড়বার আগে l তাই ভরপুর ইতিহাসে ভরে আছে গৌড় l ওইদিকে পান্ডুয়াও কিছু সময়ের জন্য রাজধানী ছিলো বাংলার সুলতান আমলে l

সবাই কেমন আছেন?
আপনারা জানেন, কোভিড পরিস্থিতির কথা মাথায় রেখে আমরা, পূর্ব নির্ধারিত দিনে কলকাতা ওয়াক সার্কিট-2 করতে পারিনি। আমরা জানিয়েছিলাম পরিস্থিতি একটু ঠিক হলেই, নতুন তারিখ বলে দেওয়া হবে।
এখন পরিস্থিতি পুরোপুরি ঠিক না হলেও ভালোর দিকেই এগোচ্ছে। আশা করা যাচ্ছে, আগামী কিছুদিনের মধ্যেই তা অনেকটাই স্বাভাবিক হয়ে যাবে। এই অবস্থায় আমরা হাতে আরো খানিকটা সময় রেখেই কলকাতা ওয়াকের নতুন দিন ঠিক করতে চাইছি।
তাই, সার্কিট-2 ওয়াকের জন্য, আগামী 20 ফেব্রুয়ারি 2022, এই দিনটি আমরা বেছে নিয়েছি। যাদের সার্কিট -২ এর জন্য অলরেডি রেজিস্ট্রেশন করা আছে, তারা তো এই ওয়াকে থাকছেনই। সঙ্গে নতুন করে কেউ যদি আমাদের সাথে জুড়তে চান, জুড়তেই পারেন।
কোভিড পরিস্থিতির কথা মাথায় রেখে, আগের ওয়াকের মতোই, এবারও আমরা সিট সংখ্যা সীমিত রেখেছি। তবে, আনন্দের কথা এখনো কিছু সিট রয়েছে। ইচ্ছে থাকলে, খুব তাড়াতাড়ি রেজিস্ট্রেশন করে নিন। 😊

11th December, International Mountain Day উপলক্ষে আমাদের পরিবারের সকলের কাছে একটা *ফটোগ্রাফি কম্পিটিশন* এ যোগ দেওয়ার অনুরোধ রাখছি। এই কম্পিটিশনে যোগ দিতে হলে *wanderlust* এর পেজে (নীচে দেওয়া ফেসবুক পেজের লিঙ্কে) আপনাদের তোলা ছবি পোস্ট করুন।

নিয়ম :
১) ছবিটি অবশ্যই 'পাহাড়ের' হতে হবে। এবং Wanderlust এর সাথে যাওয়া কোনও ট্রিপ বা ট্রেকে তোলা হতে হবে।
২) ছবিটার সামান্য description যেমন - কোথায়, কবে কিসে তোলা, সেটা দিয়ে পোস্ট করতে হবে।
৩) একটি মাত্র ছবি দেওয়া যাবে।
৪) নিজের তোলা ছবি দিতে হবে। কোনো ডাউনলোড করা বা কোনো সংগৃহীত ছবি চলবে না।
৫)একদিনই মানে আজ, 11th ডিসেম্বর রাত্রি 12 টা পর্যন্তই পোস্ট করতে পারবেন।
