It is said that there is always a gap between our present day interest & culture with the roots and pulse of our heritage. However, transformation of heritage in the everyday life needs a close introspection of the common interest of a major part of the people with whom we live, exchange our views, resonate i
n various human and natural events. Besides this, a local flavour can not be a hindrance to experience a global affair. We noticed that despite having rich literary & cultural aspects, a Bengali individual is compelled to experience and buy according to the directive principles of the market where a friend offers a greetings card to his friend where no touch of Bengal is seen. Besides, we have our own diversities of seasons, own connotations of rites and rituals, own rhetoric and language of expression. From marriage to our daily celebrations, from birthday greetings to our concern for our near and dear ones, from our festivals to our cultural events, we should express and impress through our own rhetoric, language, connotations and poetic rhythm about what we have lots of enriched sources. So we started our journey. We have planned to move ahead with time, bearing our enriched heritage with vigour and passion. How did we sign in
Smaranika has initially been planned to project the enriched cultural and literary heritage of Bengal in the production of Bengali cards. Besides Bengali cards, we have also paved our way of initiatives into Printing, Painting, Design, Digital Still and video photography, Framing, Greetings cards, and sculptor( in various types including fibre, and miniature clay models, which were especially designed and made by those artists who are well-recognised to get National awards). Now we have varities of Bengali cards and we have satisfied our other clients in the fields of painting, design, framing, digital and still photography. Dream Becomes True
The initiative was further developed to reality and our outlet was opened on 14th March of 2009 in the gracious presence of the dignitaries like Sunil Gangopadhyay, Samir Aich,Bibhash Chakraborty, Narayan Debnath, Chandi Lahiri, Goutam Halder, Goutam Bhattacharya, Meghnath Bhattacharya, Sambaran Bannerji, Bimal Kundu,and the like. Our products have already gained reputation from people and artists, writers and news media. In various occasions of festival of Bengal, we make various designs of cards where writers like Shankha Ghosh, Sunil Gangopadhyay, Joy Goswami, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Bibhash Chakraborty, Manoj Mitra have given us their lines along with their signatures. Artists like Subrata Choudhury, Chandi Lahiri, Anup Roy, Nirmalendu Mondol, Somnath Ghosh, Narayan Debnath, Suman Chowdhury, Bimal Kundu, Sourish Mitra, Sudipta Mondol have also contributed to make the layouts with their magnificent designs and paintings.
