🗺️ 𝐖𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 🗺️
🔸𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺
It houses some of the most important relics and artefacts like clay sculptures, ancient hunting equipment like bows and arrows, stone weapons and other curios that date back to 2nd century.
🔸𝗘𝗱𝗮𝗸𝗸𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀
The caves are located at about 1200 ft above the sea level, and consist of pictorial drawings and engravings that indicate the presence of ancient human settlements in the region. Needless to say that the Edakkal Caves are among the oldest human settlements ever discovered.
🔸𝗠𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆
The sanctuary is an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve and has a large population of pachyderms and has been declared a Project Elephant site.
🔸𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗺
Considered a photographer’s delight, this is a sprawling reservoir of clear water surrounded by lush green hills and dotted with tiny islands.
🔸𝗦𝗼𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀
One of the most beautiful places in Wayanad, this is a 3-tiered waterfall and is surrounded by deciduous, evergreen and montane forests.
