Our festival has played host to a large number of local and international talent over three decades since it's inception in 1980. It is a matter of great honour for us to announce that Shri Prakash Belawadi will be kicking off the proceedings for the 42nd edition of the fest!

He is an eminent theater artist, film director, television and media personality. He is also a teacher, journalist and an activist. He has presided over various TedX conferences across India. He is a mentor with the founding of Bengaluru International short film festival since 2010!

Incident is the annual cultural festival of the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in Surathkal, Karnataka. Incident, being one of India's largest student-run cultural fests , stands high and mighty being bestowed with a crown of ultimate art, culture, and celebration . Incident serves as a launchpad for fresh talents , a host for the most renowned artists , and a one-stop cultural experience.

Having started in the 1980s with a budget of just Rs.10,000, Incident has come a long way to become Karnataka's largest festival! With an aim to provide students with the best experiences they've had in all cultural faces, Incident is a wholesome experience.
