We attended the hornbill festival in Nagaland yesterday and it was an amazing experience.

After Tawang, we headed to Nameri for a night stay. We were supposed to go to Guwahati and end the trip yesterday but we decided to extend the trip to attend the hornbill festival in Nagaland.
A much needed car was after about 14 days on the road in Nagaland.
We are heading to Hornbill bill today.

We did Twang to Madhuri Lake and Bumla Pass and back to Tawang on 28th Nov.
We had to hire a local vehicle for Bumla. Taking your own vehicle was not possible.

We did Dirang to Tawang yesterday.
Until yesterday we we were taking our own sweet time to travel from 1 place to another. We were covering a 4 hour distance in 8 to 10 hours each day.

We visited these places yesterday: Mawlynnong, Balancing Rock 🪨, Living Root Bridge, Dawki River (lot of rough roading on the way) and Shnongpdang

I travelled from Guwahati to Shillong today.
Started from Guwahati at about 11am.
Amazing roads and beautiful views.
Some pictures of sight seeing I did on the way.
Missed a few spots that I will cover on the way to Kaziranga.

I started today from Kolkata at about 3.30am.
I am about 200kms away from my today’s destination, Siliguri.
The new Thar RWD is awesome specially in the bad patches of road. Getting around 15kmpl (pre first service)

Kolkata-Siliguri-Guwahati-Shillong-Cherrapunjee-Kaziranga-Tawang and back to Guwahati.
