Hello Ramblers,
Recently Alpine ramblers travel down the trek to the highest peak of Sahyadri, i.e. Kalsubai.

But you would like to know the story behind the kalsubai temple.
Kalsubai is said to take its name from a Koli girl named ‘Kalsu’. She was a girl who loved wandering in the forest, walking and live her alone happiness.
Kalsu according to the story reached at the foot of the hill of Kalsubai one day. There she met a Koli family where she agreed to work on a condition that she should not be asked to clean pots or to sweep.
Matters went smoothly till, one day one of the family member ordered Kalsu to clean some pots and clear away some utter. She did as she was bid and immediately after climbed the hill and stayed on its top till her death. The location where she cleaned the pots is known as ‘Thale Mel’ and the place she cleared away the litter called ‘Kaldara’.
This story is told by the villagers since the place is well known by Kalsubai. This hill a natural stronghold peak about 10miles south east to Igatpuri.

In the recent trek of 24th January 2021 to Kalsubai, Alpine ramblers participants capture the best moment of sunrise from top most peak in Maharashtra.
It was a perfect beginning of the day, as it was giving us the feeling of fulfillment, of energy flowing through the body with satisfaction of reaching at the peak. Just observing the surroundings made us complete.

It was a never forgetting moment for all of us and we were lucky enough to capture the sunrise moments with entire team.

Hoping to experience more such beautiful moments by including new ramblers in the team and grow our adventurous family.
