Kedarnath temple is located on the bank of the Mandakini river at an altitude of 3584 meters above sea level. The kapat of Shri Kedarnath Dham will open on May 17, 2021. The idol will be shifted from Ukhimath to the main temple.

केदारनाथः विश्व प्रसिद्ध केदारनाथ धाम के कपाट 17 मई को सुबह करीब पांच बजे विधि-विधान के साथ भक्तों के लिए खोल दिए जाएंगे. प्राचीन परपंरा के मुताबिक हर साल महाशिवरात्रि के ओंकारेश्वर मंदिर ऊखीमठ में केदारनाथ धाम के कपाट खुलने का मुहुर्त निकाला जाता है. मुहुर्त निकलने के बाद पंचकेदार गद्दी स्थल ओंकारेश्वर मंदिर ऊखीमठ में इस बात की घोषणा की गई. शीतकालीन प्रवास के बाद गौरीकुंड से निकली डोली केदारनाथ धाम पहुंच चुकी है.

केदारनाथ के कपाट बंद || Snowfall in Kedarnath || Kedarnath Closing Ceremony 2020 | Jai Baba Kedar ❤️

The sacred portals of the Himalayan shrine of Kedarnath were closed for the winter season on Monday, November 16, 2020, amid a fresh spell of snowfall.
The gates of the temple, which houses one of the 11 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and attracts devotees from across the world, we're closed at 8:30 am after an elaborate ceremony.

अब देश के अन्य राज्यों के तीर्थयात्री भी चारधाम यात्रा का लाभ उठा सकेंगे। उन्हें उत्तराखंड आने से 72 घंटे पहले आईसीएमआर की किसी मान्यता प्राप्त लैब से कोरोना टेस्ट करवाना होगा। अगर उनकी रिपोर्ट नेगेटिव आती है, तब उन्हें वह रिपोर्ट और पंजीकरण का आवेदन उत्तराखंड चारधाम देवस्थानम प्रबंधन बोर्ड की वेबसाइट www.badrinath-kedarnath.gov.in पर अपलोड करने होंगे।

जांच-पड़ताल के बाद तीर्थयात्रियों को ई-पास जारी किए जाएंगे। जिन लोगों ने कोविड-19 की जांच नहीं करवाई, उन्हें राज्य में प्रवेश करने के बाद 7 दिनों तक उत्तराखंड के किसी होटल, घर अथवा सरकारी क्वॉरेंटाइन सेंटर में क्वॉरेंटाइन अवधि पूरी करनी होगी। ऐसे यात्री क्वॉरेंटाइन अवधि पूर्ण करने के पश्चात तत्संबंधी दस्तावेज अपलोड करते हुए अपने ऑनलाइन पास प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। अपनी यात्रा के दौरान आपको रिपोर्ट व अन्य दस्तावेज अपने साथ रखने होंगे। आपकी यात्रा सुगम और सरल हो, ऐसी सुव्यवस्था की गई है।

चारों धामों पर सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग का विशेष ध्यान रखा गया है। हम कामना करते हैं कि आपकी चारधाम यात्रा सफल रहे।
