Winter Green is an organic farm situated in the Gudalur valley in Nilgiri district,Tamilnadu. The farm is located at Kallingara in Gudalur – Sulthan Bathery road ,which is only 7 Kms from Gudalur Town. The farm is surrounded by tea plantations and a small river flowing by its side. n is the main crop and rice, vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, beans, bitter guard, tomato etc are also cultivated seasonally. Coffee, pepper, Mango, Jack fruit etc are already there in the farm. Mushroom, both oyster & button are also produced in the farm. Hybrid grasses like co3 and gini are cultivated in the borders of the farm. The hay obtained from paddy and hybrid grasses cultivated are used to feed cattle. Besides agriculture, buffaloes, goats, rabbits, fish, hen, quails, Ducks and other fowls are also grown in the farm. Farm tourism, in small scale, is also promoted here. Now, personally known peoples and friends are accommo-dated in the farm. Fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, egg etc produced in the farm are mainly used to feast the guests. The two small houses in the farm were modified and these houses are used for accommodation.
