Shubho Bijoya and Happy Dussehra!

Sindur Khela (Bengali: সিঁদুর খেলা), literally meaning 'Vermillion Game', is a Bengali Hindu tradition where married women smear each other with sindur (Vermillion) on Vijayadashami, the last day of the Durga Puja.
Every year, Durga Puja makes the city of joy ( Kolkata ) come alive with colors, light, food, happiness, and buzzing energy enough to light up an entire continent. Its like a carnival, high on happiness !
Today marks the last day of the festivities. Aching hearts secretly start the countdown while chanting "Asche bochor abar hobe" meaning "It will happen again next year"!

6th October 2021 : Ten years down to the best decision of our lives. Coffee dates at the college nescafe counter to surviving a long distance relationship to getting married few years later (5th Feb 2017) What a ride it has been !! 😍

Throwback to our first trip together as 2 young engineering students who were slowly but surely rising in love.❤️❤️❤️

Next up, our tired feet, gurgling bellies and fluttery butterfly hearts found their nectar at the famed lakeside café . We ordered Safed Murg, Garlic Naan and some refreshing banana lassi to go with it.

A gigantic lit up Christmas Tree stood right in the middle of the waterfront as cute boats with Disney characters circled it singing and waving at us. Volcano was ejecting lava and smoke at the background, while the fireworks broke out into dozens of diamonds against the perfectly black canvas.

DisneySea gave us our fairytale christmassy memory, which we will continue to nurture and protect through the years.

We went out to the porch and let the crisp morning air fill our lungs. When we were about to reach the northern end of the beach, we noticed there was an abrupt change in the color. Coming closer we realized it was millions of tiny who would have seen the Earth first time today. 💛🧡💙♥️

Located just 30 meters from the Palolem coast, the view of the bewitching sea from our gorgeous sea facing hut, had us transfixed. Palolem is a crescent shaped white sand beach, bejewelled with palms, handsome huts and colorful kayaks. 💛🧡💙♥️
