*IHRO celebrates International Women's Day in Srinagar*

*_felicitates women for their work Excellence in their respective fields_*

Srinagar, Mar 08: World's Popular humanitarian voluntary organisation, International Human Rights Organization (IHRO) celebrated International Women's Day with great enthusiasm and zeal today here in Tagore Hall Srinagar.

Women's day celebration and the felicitation ceremony held by IHRO in Srinagar was the maiden mega public event of the organisation for which National Headquarters core team extended full support to its J&K state body. The function received an overwhelming response from the audience who lauded the aims and objectives of International Human Rights Organization.

The programme started with a formal welcome address by the World Chairman of IHRO Shri Dr. Nem Singh Premi who besides extending cordial welcome to all the dignitaries, guests and other participants also gave basic intro of the IHRO.

Secretary General IHRO, Shri Alok Singh highlighted the overall aims and objectives of IHRO. He elaborated various aspects and streams under which IHRO is working in bringing positive transformation in the society. Be it women empowerment, youth development, sports, career, tourism or agriculture, IHRO through it's diversified plans and ex*****on enables people grow and prosper.

Shri NK Goyal and Captain Rama Arya from National Headquarter had also come all the way from Delhi to grace the occasion and their kind presence acted as a great source of motivation.

Among the awardees who were felicitated with mementos and certificates for their remarkable social services and women empowerment initiatives were the Raja Nikhat Aman SSP Security Civil Secretariat Srinagar, Administrative Officer Dr Deeba Khalid-JKAS, renowned social activist Ms Nikhat Shafi Pandit, prominent Gynaecologist Dr. Shahida Mir, Dr Mehjabeen, Chairperson Care Foundation, Journalist Humaira Nabi, Blood Woman of Kashmir Bilkees Ara, Dr. Mubeena Ramzan, Social activist, Ms Halima Shabir, Arjuna awardee Athelete Sheetal Devi, Socio-political activist Sunita Arora, Architect Irchitect Nowshehri, Dr. Mantasha, Adv Amtul Basit, Fatima Hamid, Ms Atiya and others.

IHRO J&K team officials including Zonal Coordinator Bhat Altaf, Director Arshad Yousuf, President Nazir Ahmad Wani, Ms Sabrina also spoke on the occasion and expressed their will and intend to strengthen the roots of IHRO in J&K as to facilitate people with all possible help and support.

Ms Roomi Nazir, outstanding youth activist and IHRO's Vice President for Youth Affairs and sports brilliantly performed her duty as the stage Secretary and anchor of the programme.

Bollywood sensation and star celebrity Warina Hussain also graced the occasion as special celebrity Guest and wished everyone Happy International Women's Day. She was also felicitated with a memento from IHRO.

The 2nd part of the programme i, e, the mega walkathon is scheduled to be organized tomorrow (Saturday) morning on the bank of Dal Lake.

Maverick organisation, grand event management team led by Asif Iqbal and his efficient team is the main component and back bone of the organising committee working in collaboration with IHRO to spread the message of peace and Zero crime and violence against women.

*IHRO opens it's J&K office at Rajbagh, Chief Advisor SS Sandhu inaugurated and dedicated office to J&K*

Srinagar, Mar 01: The popular humanitarian voluntary organisation, International Human Rights Organization (IHRO) started it's functioning from Srinagar here today.

The J&K UT headquarters office situated in Kursoo Rajbagh was inaugurated today by the Chief Advisor S.S Sandhu during a well decorated function held in the office.

Director IHRO Arshad Yousuf along with othe core committee members Altaf shb (Zonal Coordinator IHRO J&K, president J&k Nazir Ahmad wani @ Javid Iqbal shb welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries and described the mission and motto of the International Human Rights Organisation. He said his voluntary team is working for the betterment of society and it gives a strong support to the exploited segments of the society.

Chief Guest Shri S.S Sandhu in his address hailed the efforts of the voluntary work of IHRO and said that IHRO is actively protecting the Rights of the people living across the globe. He impressed upon the office bearers and other volunteers to work with sincerity and dedication to ease out the public miseries. He also assured full support from the National Headquarters and said people of Jammu and Kashmir have kept their hopes high on IHRO and we at the organisation are working on to raise the public issues and concerns for its early redressal from the concerned quarters.

He said IHRO apart from protecting and fighting for the Human rights also organise and conduct various vocational training programmes to uplift the living standard of common masses. He said women empowerment and youth development is the prime concern of IHRO and there are various projects and plans to be introduced and executed in coming days.

Pertinently, IHRO J&K chapter is organising a mega event on the eve of International Women's Day on 8 March where the day will start with a 3km Walkathon on Foreshore road followed by a colourful fecllicitation ceremony in Tagore Hall. IHRO will be felicitating many women for their outstanding work in their respective fields as a mark of respect and honour for the bravehearts.

International Human Rights Organization Director Jammu and Kashmir, Yousuf
expresses his heartfelt sadness over the brutal murder of a wife by her husband in Chak i Audoora Mawar of tehsil Langate.

On thursday 29th february 2024.
Arshad Yousuf condemns the act of Uxoricide (the killing of wife by her spouse).
He further added that the act of murdering one's spouse is a heinous crime that goes against the fundamental values of love, trust, and respect. Such actions are not only morally reprehensible but also criminal, causing immense pain and suffering to the victim and their loved ones. He said,Society should rightfully condemn such acts, and legal consequences are essential to ensure justice The loss of a wife, a life taken too soon, leaves a community grappling with profound sadness and a poignant reminder of the urgent need for empathy and support in the face of domestic violence.

He also appealed parents not to show negligence if your daughters are facing any kind of domestic violence in the house of their inlwas weather by her husband or by her inlaws .He requested parents to accept their divorced daughters before it is too late. He said ,silence on any kind of domestic violence act keeps victims trapped and gives raise to their mental depression,anxiety ,suicidal thoughts ,PTSD etc. at the end resulting into criminal activities .
At the end he said ,no one weather male or female should not tolerate domestic violence and need of the hour is to speak against domestic violence.

It is hereby informed that all the ID Cards of IHRO Jammu & Kashmir Till 30- 12- 2023 with old designations in Jammu and Kashmir are not valid with immediate effect till new notification. Entire unit of Jammu and Kashmir has been dissolved and new team with new designations will be announced in coming days. There is no more validation of any press release till new notification. New ID cards with new designations will be issued soon. Informing you all , that International Human Rights Organization has its alone official FB page titled " IHRO Jammu and Kashmir". There is no other page of IHRO (J&K). And state office will be inaugurated on 18th FEB 2024. New Appointments and ids cards issued from 01- 01- 2024 are here by stand..
