In Yakten village ,most of the inhabitant are belongs from Limboo community also from budhist and Hindu religion . Socio economical value is dependent on organic cultivation and dairy firming recently tourism is a new addition in yakten village. Foods :

Mouth watering fresh organic local cuisine will surely full fill your appetite . The people of Sikkim are mostly rice caters with different type of veg and non veg curry ,dal,soup , pickle ,local organic vegetable dishes . Above this regular cuisine one can also try some local dishes like momo,thuppa, gunruk saup etc. Climate:

Yakten village is the destination which perfect for almost all season. Summer season : Summer is mild with maximum temperature never crossing 28 °C. The pleasant climate attracts lots of tourists during this season. Monsoon or Rainy season : Monsoon are accompanied with intense rain. Lasting from July to August, in monsoon colourful cloud create a panoramic attraction at this hamlet. Winter season: Winters in yakten are pretty extreme with temperatures hovering between 22 °C to 6 °C, though it is one of the best time to visit . What to wear : As the temperature is really chilling even in summer also, tourist should carry light woollen clothes for summer and heavy woollen clothes for winter. How to reach:

From airport or railway station vehicle are available to reach Yakten via Ranipool and Pakyong . Nearest Airport: Bagdogra Airport ( approx 140kms )

সিকিম এর রাজধানী গ্যাংটক থেকে মাত্র ১ ঘন্টা দূরত্বে খুঁজে পেলাম এক অপূর্ব গ্রাম ( Yakten Village ) , অসাধারণ প্রাকৃতিক শোভা ছড়িয়ে রয়েছে গ্রাম জুড়ে I মাউন্ট কাঞ্চনজঙ্গার উজ্জ্বল উপস্থিতি , অজানা সব পাখি আর ফুল , হেরিটেজ পাইনের ফরেস্ট আর সকাল সকাল অল্প ট্রেকিং করে ঝান্ডি দ্বারা ভেউ পয়েন্ট এক অসাধারণ অভিজ্ঞতা I
এই ইয়েক্তেন গ্রাম টি বিখ্যাত অর্চিড ফুল এর রেয়ার স্পেসিস এর জন্যে , এখানকার গ্রাম্য মানুষদের আতিথিয়তা আমাদের অভিভূত করেছে , বিশেষ করে ঘরের মতো খাবার দাবার আর ওদের হৃদ্যতা I

Yakten is a paradise for Birds and Orchids watchers numerous rare species of birds butterflies and orchids can be captured by enthusiastic photographers. In the early morning, some can get glimpses of unseen rare Himalayan birds from the heritage forest and a variety of rare species of Orchids from green house.

A wide variety of rare species of orchids can be found here like Cymbidium, Dendrobium, Coelogyne, Pleione ,Phalaenopsis ,Paphiopedilum etc.

Some of the rare species of birds found in Yakten village include the Blood Pheasant, Satyr Tragopan, Ward's Trogon, Himalayan Monal, and the Fire-tailed Myzornis.

এয়াকতেন গ্রাম ( Yakten village homestay ) , ইস্ট সিক্কিমে , গ্যাংটক থেকে মাত্র এক ঘন্টা দূরত্বে অবস্থিত এই ছোট্টো পাহাড়ি অচেনা গ্রাম টি তার সৌন্দর্যতা ছড়িয়ে রেখেছে আনাচে কানাচে , পাইন এর জঙ্গল এর মধ্যে রং বেরঙের অর্চিড ফুল , অজানা পাখি দের কলতান , আর মাউন্ট কাঞ্চনজঙা এর উপস্থিতি এই গ্রাম কে মায়াময় রূপ দিয়েছে I
গ্রামের মানুষদের উষ্ণ অভিননন্দন আর অথিয়তা ভাষায় বর্ণনা করা যায় না , এখানে হোমস্টে গুলো গ্রামের লোক জন চালায় তৈরি করে দিয়েছে সিকিম গভর্মেন্ট সব হোমস্টে একই রকম , হোটেল না পুরো ঘরের মতো অনুভূতি, আর অর্গানিক ঘরোয়া খাবার মনে রাখার মতো I
এদের নিজেদের গ্রাম এর সোসাইটি আছে যারা সমস্ত অথিতি দের সুবিধে গুলো দেখে , বলতে গেলে "ইকো ট্যুরিজম সোসাইটি" দায়িত্বে আছেন একজন তিনিও ওখানকার বাঙালি আর সুব্বা জি .
