The Amarnath Yatra is an annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath Cave in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. The cave is located at an altitude of about 3,888 meters and is considered one of the holiest shrines in Hinduism.
During the yatra, thousands of devotees trek through the challenging mountainous terrain to reach the cave, where they pay their respects to an ice stalagmite, which is believed to represent the Hindu god Shiva.
