Bali Pass Trek is a high altitude trek that connects the Har Ki Dun Valley with Yamunotri in the Indian Himalayan region and also a beautiful journey. It is at an elevation of about 4,900 meters and located in Garhwal Himalayan region. It is a gateway to capture the trio of Kalanag at 6,387m, Ba**er Punch at 6,316m and Swargarohini group of peaks at 6,252m. Bali pass tour stretches for approximately 8–9 days, passing through the Har Ki Dun valley from an elevation of 1,900m to 4,800m which has an associated story of the Pandavas. The trail path has several colourful orchards, animals, birds and clicks the trekker´s diary. The trail has one another attraction is the culture in the Garhwal Himalayan portraiture. The trek after Har Ki Dun valley moves through the Ruinsara Tal and becomes very tricky. It is one of the moderate treks in the Himalayas.
Bali Pass Trek, from Har Ki Dun to Yamunotri via Ruinsara Tal, starts out from Sankri (160 km from Mussoorie). The trail from the Sankri, follows Taluka at 1,900m and Osla at 2,559m with a gradual climb that takes 6-7 hrs to cover the distance of 13 km. It is a beautiful trek and an old trekking route from tons to Yamuna river valley. It gives you the experience to camping at a high altitude of about 4000m. It attracts more trekkers in the monsoon season when the snow melts and it approaches both sides. It also has a steep descent to Yamunotri at 3165m.
