Trek The Himalayas: Walking the Talk of Sustainable Tourism with HEAL HIMALA Initiative
At Trek The Himalayas, we’re not just another trekking company, we genuinely care about the Himalayas and believe in responsible tourism. We want every trekker to experience the beauty of the mountains without harming them in any way.
Under our flagship HEAL HIMALA initiative, we continuously work to clean and restore popular trekking trails, especially those that suffer the most from high footfall and waste accumulation. One such trail is Goechala, which sees a large number of trekkers every season.
As the season came to a close, our dedicated team conducted an extensive clean-up drive along the entire Goechala trail, collecting and removing over 700 kg of waste left behind. We made sure to leave the trail just as we first found it, pure, untouched, and serene, honoring the essence of “Leave No Trace.”
But our mission doesn’t stop there.
We’re excited to share that we will soon be launching volunteer clean-up drives where you can actively participate and become a guardian of the Himalayas. Whether you're a trekker, nature lover, student, or just someone who cares about the planet, this is your chance to contribute meaningfully to the places that give us so much.
By joining hands, we can ensure that these majestic trails remain clean for future generations.
Let’s not just explore the Himalayas, let’s protect them.
Stay tuned for updates on how you can join our clean-up drives and become a part of the change!
