India is the highest milk producer and ranks first position in the world contributing 24% of global milk production in the year 2021-22. The milk production of India has registered 61% increase during the last eight years i.e., during the year 2013-14 and 2021-22 and increased to 221.1 Mn Tonnes in the year 2021-22.

India has the world's largest dairy herd with over 300 million bovines, producing over 187 million tonnes of milk. India is first among all countries in both production and consumption of milk.

Flooding land for a hydroelectric reservoir has an extreme environmental impact: it destroys forest, wildlife habitat, agricultural land, and scenic lands.

When a dam is built on the river, it changes the course of the river and water can not flow freely like before. This will deposit all the sediments behind the dam and form new geographical physical features and alter the biodiversity too.

Vaccine trials on street dogs can be ethically challenging, but they may also benefit public health and animal welfare.

Recently, the Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA) in India has withdrawn its recommendation to employ stray dogs in vaccine trials.

This decision comes in response to concerns raised by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India regarding the scientific and ethical Implications of using stray dogs in experiments.
