On behalf of the Adventure and Mountain Biking Association, we are proud to say that our event MTB Meghalaya 2018 Organised by Walk to Himalaya in association and collaboration with AMBIA has ended with a great success, which was held on the 12th - 13th October 2018, a total of 167kms.
On the first day, 12th Oct 2018, the warm-up ride started from Upper Shillong to Mawlai Lummawnei and the Official race started from this point to Mawphanlur via Mawmih, Mawmaram, Lum Mawthadraishan.
On the second day, 13th Oct 2018, the race started from Markasa and ended at Umkhakoi lake via Pariong, Jakrem, Weiloi and Mawsynram.
Mr. Kevilebo Zhotro, a team rider from Walk To Himalayas, secured the 1st place and Mr. Banshanlang Khyllait, a team rider from pro cycling, secured the 2nd place. Whereas, Alemba Thongliu, a rider hailing from Nagaland, secured the 3rd place in the race.
The association is being supported by Walk To Himalayas, Kefi Outdoors, Paddle Road Cycling, Redbull India, Directorate of Meghalaya Tourism Dept, Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Teiborlang Pathaw, Um Rupa and Beads Mineral water.
