The best thing about staying in Majuwa, Maneybhanjan is you can go for a day trip to 'Sandakphu or Sandakpur (3636 m; 11,930 ft) a mountain peak in the Singalila Ridge on the border between India and Nepal. It is the highest point of the ridge and of the state of West Bengal, India. The peak is located at the edge of the Singalila National Park and has a small village on the summit with a few hotels. Four of the five highest peaks in the world, Everest, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu can be seen from its summit. It also affords a pristine view of the entire Kangchenjunga Range. Sandakphu is also known as the 'land of poisonous flowers.'
After an early breakfast, a vehicle will pick you up from Aranya Baas Homestay and take you to Sandakphu via Chitrey, Meghma, Tumling, Tunglu, Gairibas, Kayakata, Kalipokhri and return back to Aranya Baas by evening. If you are up for the challenge, we can arrange trekking too.

Day 1
Pick up from NJP or IXB and drop off at Aranya Baas Homestay via Mirik, Simana, Sukhia Pokhri. Night stay at Aranya Baas Homestay.
Day 2
Transfer from Aranya Baas to Tumling, night stay at Tumling. During winter you may experience Snow Fall at Tumling.
Day 3
Tumling to Sandakphu, stay at Sandakphu. It is surprising to know that around four of the five of the world's highest peaks are visible from here. It is indeed a wonderful sight to see Mt Everest, Mt Kanchenjunga, Mt Lhotse and Mt Makalu all at once.
Day 4
After the breakfast, Return journey starts from Sandakphu to Maneybhanjan and Maneybhanjan to NJP Or IXB

Day 1

Day trip to Mahavir Waterfalls. Night safari at the evening.
Day 4
After the breakfast, Return journey starts from Aranya Baas Homestay to NJP Or IXB.

✅️Each member opting for this Sandakphu Tour Package or Sandakphu Trekking Package should carry original Voter Card or Passport or Driving License (Pan card and Aadhar Card are not valid) along with four copies of Xerox and 3 copies of passport size photographs. In case of child you can carry School ID proof and Birth Certificate along with photographs.
