Serenity at ZeroPoint Yumthang, north Sikkim.

Zero Point lies close to the Indo-China border, and as the last outpost of civilization, it holds a certain charm, not to mention that it is mostly covered in snow throughout the year, which is another attraction.

The journey to Zero Point is a visual adventure. You are treated to colourful flowers and grazing yaks as you drive through Shinghba Rhododendron Sanctuary and Yumthang before reaching there (it’s got to be the right season). The panoramic views once you reach Zero point, that of towering peaks and moss-laden/snow-covered landscape, lull you into a calm trace. Make sure not to miss Zero Point when you visit north Sikkim.

Zero Point requires a permit.

The best time to visit is between late-Feb or March and mid-June.
