Senior contractor's association has registered strong protest against floating of tenders by various departments and has termed it an improper and mockery of lockdown announced by the Govt of India.it seems officals want us to blieve that contractor's are immune to virus?.we know developmental works are priority but this global pendamic covid 19 has put everything to grinding halt across the globe.
contractor's community has appealed governor adminstration to set up the guidelines or SOP's in this regard, furthermore general Secretary has termed floating of tenders ill concieved decision by executive engineers amid lockdown and seems to be favouring certain section of agencies which will voilate lockdown and thus jeopardize many lives in a process but we find it against conscience to participate in tendering process as contractor's and related agencies have not received any directions, special passes from adminstration in order to safely participate and to reach banks and treasuries for making cdrs n challans which are pre-requisite to participate in tendering process..we fail to understand if some would manage to reach banks by slipping the security agency on the roads but it would be gross injustice to the others who want to participate but won't be able to and might favour few blue eyed agencies and in turn would be loss to exchequer.we are requesting officers to come clean on such matters or either formulate guidelines in order to make participation possible for every agency to participate in a process..

Sub:-Declare financial year 2019-20 to end on 30-04-2020 instead of 31-03-2020

Honourable sir,
With due reverence, All the contractor's and buisness fraternity stands with the LG administration amid covid19 pandamic and lauds the efforts made in mitigating the effects by implementing protective restrictions and prohibitory orders in larger good of public.

Outbreak couldn't have come at a worse time. It is the month of March and there are many financial deadlines that fall in this month. These include filing of belated tax return, revised tax return, linking of PAN and Aadhaar and Vivad se Vishwas scheme etc.

All over the country, cities have partially locked down and people are working from home - this is because people have been told to avoid crowded places and defeating this pandamic.the virtual lockdown has made it difficult for people to reach govt offices and contractor's to get there bills done and will not be possible for us to meet the deadline of 31-03 -2020 amid global health emergency and lockdown
Therefore,I would like to request your good self that financial closing should be extended from march 31 to 30april FY 2019-20 , obliged

Employee of PWD (r&b) feroz Ahmad resident of lalbaxar lost his life in a tragic accident yesterday at bypass while performing his duties...he was honest , hard-working upright employee, All the fraternity has expressed shock over the incident..we pray for the soul n are with the family in this moment of grief ..and we appeal to the administration that driver of the carshould be brought to book who according to the witnesses was indulging in speeding n has hit the feroz Ahmad on footpath....it is pertinent to mention that feroz sahib has two small kids which were deprived of there father...may Allah protect them ameen

Erring contractors aghast ....carried out protest against the administration which is under deep slumber.... chairman Bashir Ahmad khan sahib addressed the media n appealed to authorities to release the work done payments of various departments PWD.. Irrigation and flood control PHE , tourism... etc...

Lodged our protest against the administration which is in deep slumber..protest were led by the chairman senior contractors cordinattion committee chairman Bashir Ahmad khan sahib.he urges newly elected central govt n its leadership to act on its slogan of sabka Saath sabka Vikas....and if they are seriously considering the development of j&k as there prime motive then they should not muzzle the contractor community economically...n release the work done payments of various divisions include PWD.. Irrigation n Flood control.. tourism...on the eve of Eid...

Jehlum water level has risen in 6/2018 as well...and contractors community has still no been paid for there work when they were alert and working on war footing bases our dues are still pending and kashmir Inc or other body raised a voice.... no work untill or unless our payments be released immediately....

Works without technical sanction. . administrative approval....position of funds.... should be mandatory....start from the gross root level.....things will change then for sure....All the concerned officers of irrigation n flood control should take a notice....

Governer administration has muzzled the development of kashmir in order to create more alienation.contarctors community has lots of youth who earn there livelihood ,by creating this void they are compelling them to go against the union of India....
