Rules and regulation for TURA KITE FESTIVAL 2023.
Spot entry starts at 8AM closes at 10AM. No late entries will be entertained.
EARLY BIRD ENTRIES WILL START WEDNESDAY [ 29.11.2023] FOR REGISTRATION CALL 7005108252 / 9862290146.
EARLY BIRD ENTRY FEES FOR SOLO – 300 and SQUAD – 600, SPOT REGISTRATION SOLO – 400 AND SQUAD – 700.
COMPETITORS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH COMPETITOR NO. STICKERS AFTER REGISTRATION & PAYMENT.
All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for registration and during the contest.
Contestants must bring their kite for registration.
Contestants must register before the contest and display their number at all times.
Contestants may enter only one kite (One contestant, one kite) PER ROUND.
Only traditional kites made from paper will be permitted. Kites made of cloth or any similar light material such as plastic, etc. are not allowed. No synthetic lines will be allowed.
CHINESE MANZA WILL NOT BE ALLOWED .
Squad participants MUST necessarily have identical kites.
SQUAD TEAM WILL CONSIST OF 3 PARTICIPANTS EACH (PROVIDE SQUAD NAMES DURING REGISTRATION).
Inexpensive material and use of recycled materials are HIGHLY encouraged. The participants will be provided assistance by officials during the launch.
Participants will be devided into groups and the top 5 of every group will proceed to the finals.
All kites once in the air, dog-fights will start only after announcements by the organizers and the last man/squad standing will be declared winner (ONLY FOR THE FINALS).
The dogfight will be an all out battle where any participant can attack anyone once the signal is given (it will not be VERSUS mode). This applies for Squad dogfights aswell.
It will be a winner takes all event. No prizes for 2nd & 3rd.
The kites shall be given a 10-minute launch period and a retry for failure to take-off; kites that fail to take-off the second time are disqualified; a kite that gets entangled may be flown again with clearance from the organizers.
If the weather doesn’t permit EVENT WILL BE CANCELLED & ALL REGISTRATION FEE WILL BE REFUNDED BY THE ORGANIZERS .
If a kite is damaged during the competition, the kite-maker may try to repair the kite. A damage repair area will be available for kite-makers to repair their kites. If the kite is able to be repaired, it may be launched again to determine if it will meet the ten (10) minute flying regulation.
Friends and family members may assist in the launching and repairing of kites outside the flyzone, but the kite must be flown by the participant.
Use of foul language, participating under the influence of intoxicating substances, smoking etc. are strictly prohibited.
All decisions made by the organizer will be final.

Do bring your young ones as well as the elderly to celebrate a day dedicated to our youth and also to cherish our past with colour, music, food and vibrant energy.
