Rajasthan Road Trip (Part - 5) : Pushkar to Jaipur
=======================

In the previous episode, I have covered the story of visiting the Savitri Mata temple on the hill of Pushkar in the morning!
Then we went directly to Jaipur! It felt great to drive through the beautiful picture-like roads! We stopped the car at a dhaba and had lunch with very delicious food!
Jaipur, known as Pink City, was founded by King Swai Jai Singh of the Kachwa dynasty! Our hotel "Arya Niwas" was in the heart of this 300-year-old city! More than 150 years old, this heritage hotel is simply amazing! Apart from the very large rooms, great food and very professional staff, what I liked most was the beautiful grass carpeted lawns amidst the flower gardens! However, the main purpose of booking here was private parking!
Leaving things in the room, we took an auto and went to the Albert Hall Museum! One cannot help but be impressed by the Indo-Saracenic architecture! And all the ancient collections are absolutely stunning! Especially Mughal style Indian mythological wall paintings!
Then we left for Bapu Bazar, the purpose of course is to buy Rajasthani stuff! One address for all shopoholics in Jaipur! But if you don't have the innate ability to bargain, chances of loosing money are 200% :-) Wify almost emptied a shop here and bought Jhumkas for her friends!
After the photo shoot in front of Hawa Mahal, we went to a rooftop restaurant and had a wonderful dinner along the majestic night view of Amer Fort! We returned to our hotel and called it a day, because the next morning we had to explore a lot of attractions of Jaipur! But that story in the next episode!
Today's episode is decorated with such beautiful moments, you can watch it if you want!
Note: The video is in English!

*"Bengaluru to Rajasthan Road Trip (Part 4: Ajmer and Pushkar)"*
=======================================
https://TheUrbanNomad.oia.bio/ajmer-pushkar

On the fifth day of our road trip, we explored three renowned pilgrimage sites representing different faiths. These sacred places were:
1. Ajmer Sharif Dargah
2. Pushkar's Shri Brahma Temple
3. Gurdwara Sahib Singh Sabha
However, our day began with a touch of tension. After breakfast in Chittorgarh, we hit the road, aiming for Ajmer. But the journey wasn't without its challenges. The highway (NH 48) presented a complex situation. Dense fog obscured visibility, making it hard to see beyond a few meters. Trucks and trailers moved cautiously, their headlights piercing the mist. We waited patiently, hoping the fog would lift. Eventually, we resumed our journey, and the road led us to Ajmer.
Navigating the old city proved tricky, especially when finding government parking. After some effort, we secured a spot and visited Ajmer Sharif Dargah. From there, we headed to a restaurant named "Kaynat" for a delicious biryani and firni. Our bellies satisfied, we set off toward Pushkar.
For those travelling by car, the biggest challenge in Pushkar is parking. Luckily, we discovered RTDC Hotel Sarovar, which offers ample parking. This hotel, nestled near Pushkar Sarovar, exudes the charm of an old Rajasthani haveli. Although slightly pricier than RTDC, the experience here is truly enchanting.
In the evening, we explored various spots on foot and by auto-rickshaw. The next morning, we strolled along the serene ghats. The peaceful ambience made time seem to stand still.
Before leaving, we enjoyed breakfast at the hotel and gathered our belongings for our next destination: Jaipur. But not before paying a visit to the serene Savitri Mata Temple! The ropeway ride here is something you can not miss!
This episode is filled with such beautiful moments! Feel free to watch if you like!

Bangalore to Rajasthan Road Trip Episode -3 ( Discovery of the Majestic Chittorgarh)
===========================================
In the morning, we visited the majestic Ujjain Mahakal (as shown in the previous episode). After that, we headed towards the Chittorgarh! The drive along the beautiful road was delightful.
After having lunch, we reached our destination by evening. Since we were on a road trip, having parking was essential. So, I booked the RTDC Panna Hotel in advance. Without good parking and location, there's nothing much to say about a place 😛. If you can overlook the faded walls and leaking taps, it's a budget-friendly option!

The next day, we left for the fort after having breakfast. This extensive fort spans 13 kilometres and is India's largest! It's a treasure trove of historical sights. The best part is that you can explore it all by car.

Having a registered guide is highly recommended; otherwise, you might miss out on understanding many things! However, be prepared because every Tom, Dick, and Harry claims to be a guide 😂.
If you want to explore thoroughly and not rush like a tourist, allocate 5 to 6 hours. Plan accordingly!
Every evening, the Kumbhalgarh Palace Garden hosts an extraordinary light and sound show. Don't miss it!

Today's episode of our Chittorgarh journey is filled with various moments and important information. Feel free to watch it if you'd like!"
Enjoy your travels! 🌟🚗🏰

Bangalore to Rajasthan Road Trip, Part-2 (Nagarpur to Ujjain Mahakaleshwar Darshan)
++++++++++++++++++++++
On the second day of our journey, we travelled from Nagarpur to Ujjain! It was a beautiful and sunny day and the road was too beautiful and tempting! Sometimes I got some bad parts, where road work is going on! Otherwise, it is a great road and a very scenic profile!
But for those who drive in Madhya Pradesh, I would say "Beware of cows"! I have never seen them roaming freely and fearlessly on the highway, in any other state!
On the way, we had a late lunch in Bhopal and proceeded! It was nine o'clock at night to reach Ujjain! It is good to say here that the city has many good hotels of various budgets, but near Mahakal, the number of hotels with parking is quite limited! We found this Hotel Atharva within 2 km of the temple and had a very good experience! They have a huge parking!
The next morning, I got up early and reached the Mahakal Corridor! This very beautiful corridor is built around Rudra Sagar Lake and Mahakal Temple! I would say, don't miss the "Triveni Museum" here! Great experience!
We proceeded to the temple along the corridor with countless devotees! There was a pretty good line that day, and we are supposed to leave for Chittorgarh after Darshan,! So I bought a shigra darshan ticket for 250 rupees! (Here you will find some people who will say that they are providing cheap tickets, avoid them completely!)
After a very nice Mahakal Darshan, we moved on to the next destination of our trip! But that story will be in the next episode!
Please watch our experience here if you like!
