I would love to live like a river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding. You can’t argue with a river, it will continue to flow. You can dam it up, put it to useful purposes, you can deflect it, but you can’t argue with it. You drown not by falling into a river, but by staying submerged in it.

Visiting Mcleodganj for workation turned out to be more exciting than I ever thought it to be.
A beautiful view of gigantic mountains and valleys while attending office calls, tranquil sound of a cascading waterfalls and soothing background music at Shiva Cafe while sipping hot coffee during the Triund Trek descent was few of the many highlights of my workation.

Triund Trek Mcleodganj
The next day, as we progressed towards the top, what we witnessed was absolutely blissful.
The long and gigantic Dhauladhar range and its snow-capped mountains, Exquisitely soothing winds, a bunch of birds flying higher up the mountains to challenge its monopoly and frequently flowing breeze that brought a supreme ecstasy in the surroundings.
It was already late in the evening, by the time we reached Shiva cafe ( a must-visit cafe placed in the mountains, when in Mcleodganj ) to satisfy our starving tummies. As we grasped our bites, my trek hating friend said - The hike was worth every step.
That was encouraging and set the tone of my next high altitude trek based out of west Sikkim at an altitude of 16500 feet by the name Goechala. Stay tuned to witness the unreal beauty of Goechala, west Sikkim.

Triund Trek Mcleodganj
“ When everything feels like an uphill struggle, think about the view from the top.”
This quote was enough to convince my trek hating friend to come along with me for a Triund hike @ Mcleodganj.
What followed was an epic journey- The steep and never-ending hike, water scarcity on the way uphills, the sub-zero temperature and the unreliable sleeping bags, the bone-breaking winds throughout the night...sums up our day 1 Triund trek.
Day 2... Stay tuned.
