Bern is the anchor location for many touristic places in Switzerland. Bern is very convenient from the point of staying at a central place and not having to relocate to a new place every few days. Also, it is a large train junction which provides good train connectivity to other major European cities.

San Francisco – city by the bay as it is called.
The city of San Francisco has a public transport system which is fairly efficient and the city is connected with the rest of the bay area by BART – Bay Area Rapid Transit system having said that, one would not really be able to tour around in the bay areas by public transport . A car is a must.
