Shrikhand Mahadev is the most toughest pilgrimage in India. This abode of lord Shiva is situated in Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh at height of 17,150 ft (5227 meters) above sea level. It takes almost 7 days to complete and has one of the scintillating views. The trail is very challenging and flora and fauna is found on the trek which makes it more beautiful. The view from the peak is breathtaking. July to September is the best time to attempt the Shrikhand Mahadev trek.
The peak resembles Shivaling and it was believed that Lord Shiva meditated and the Pandavas used to visit this peak. According to administration, Shivaling is around 75 foot long and 46 foot in breadth. The most important Shrikhand Mahadev is one of the 5 Kailash which is said to be the abode of Lord Shiva.

Kotagiri trek and exploration.

Its time to beat the heat and chill at Nilgiris.

One of the three popular hill stations in the Nilgiris besides Ooty (29 km), Coonoor (18 km), Kotagiri is your quintessential plantation. Situated at an elevation of 5,882 ft, the hill station is located in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. The name Kotagiri means ‘mountains of the Kotas’ (the Nilgiri hills have been the traditional home of the Kota Tribe).

Kotagiri’s importance fell when the ghat road from Mettupalayam at the foothills of Coonoor was built. Before the ghat road was built, every traveler going to Ooty had to pass through Kotagiri. Surrounded by tea estates and beautiful green landscapes, Kotagiri offers plenty of opportunities for trekking and rock climbing. Besides trekking, there is not much to do in Kotagiri except take leisurely strolls through the tea plantations, watch the workers pluck tea leaves and soak in the cool climate of the region.

Kudremukh literally means horse’s face in Kannada. This name is because of the distinctive shape of the peak. This is also called as Samseparvath historically as it used to access from Samse village. Kudremukh is nestled in the heart of the western ghats in Chikkamagaluru district. It comes under Kudremukh National Park which is the second-largest wildlife protected area in the western ghats. It is situated at an altitude of 6,207 ft and is the 3rd highest peak of Karnataka after Mullayyangiri and Baba Budangiri. Kudremukh is a home for many flora and fauna. Kedarkantha is a mountain peak of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand, India. Its elevation is 12,500 ft (3,800 m) Kedarkantha is located within Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarkashi district. The climb to the peak of Kedarkantha starts from a small village called as Sankri. There are a total of 13 peaks of the Himalayan range visible from the Kedarkantha peak. There is a lake called Juda-ka-talab, the locals say that once upon a time Lord Shiva meditated at Kedarkantha. Its name implies so from the droplet fallen from Shiva's hair to form this lake named as Juda-ka-talab. It usually takes 4 days to complete the climb of Kedarkantha peak.
