Lakshadweep Is The Only Place In India To Have Zero Coronavirus Cases Till Date

India had reported its first coronavirus case on January 30, 2020. The pandemic has been in the country for more than five months, but Lakshadweep has remained coronavirus-free all throughout, thanks to the proper precautionary measures. Lakshadweep, the archipelago of 36 islands, is about 380 kilometres away from the mainland of India. As per the Directorate of Port Shipping and Aviation, Lakshadweep, around 70 to 80 trips operated to and from the island after lockdown. Many of these trips helped the stranded tourists in the islands return to the mainland.
