Morni Fort is a nature museum and learning center situated about 45 km from Chandigarh. The 200 years old Morni fort, which was built by Queen Morni, in Morni hills was transformed into a museum at a cost of over INR 1 crore.

Morni fort is one such place that should not be missed at any chance once you visit Morni. This is a must-visit location that is best suitable for children and young kids. The place gives you so much information and knowledge related to animals, plants, and the earth. The place is full of wall art and paintings all around. The structures of the animals add so much beauty to the place.

There is no entry fee required to visit this place.

Pinjore Gardens (also known as Pinjor Gardens or Yadavindra Gardens) is located in Pinjore, Panchkula district in the Indian state of Haryana. It is an example of the Mughal Gardens style and was built by Patiala Dynasty Sikh Rulers. The garden is in the village of Pinjore lie 22 km from Chandigarh on the Ambala-Shimla road. It was created in the 17th century by architect Nawab Fidai Khan during the early reign of his foster brother Aurangzeb (r. 1658-1707).

Opening Timings: 7:30 am to 9:30 pm

The Adventure Park at Morni was set up at a cost of Rs. 1 Crore by the Haryana Tourism Department in the Valley of Tikkar and was inaugurated in October 2004 by the then Chief Minister of Haryana. The park was set up on the heavily wooded hill that separates the twin lakes of Tikkar.

The original name of the park is – ‘Hosh & Josh, Hills n Thrills, Adventure Park!’

The architecture and layout were conceived by the students of the College of Architecture and the College of Art at Chandigarh. The park was part of the larger game-plan to introduce outdoor activities and adventure sports to Morni hills. The park offers a series of rope obstacles such as the spider’s web, river crossing, Tarzan’s swing, the Burma Bridge, etc. A rock-climbing wall with grips for practicing climbing and a short vertical drop for rappelling were the other outdoor activities. Kayaking and angling were to be introduced in the adjoining Tikkar-Taal. Open-air lakeside camping with evening bonfires was planned. There were plans to introduce biking and parasailing as well. It was hoped that the adventure activities would attract groups from large corporates and educational institutions in the region and would provide the much-needed fillip to the tourism potential of the picturesque hills of Morni.
