Dhobi Ghat (Open Air Launderette) Dhobi Ghat is located in the western area of Mumbai, near Mahalaxmi railway station. The laundry was started by Dhobi Kalyan & Audhyogik Vikas Co-op and in 2013, Dhobi Ghat was honored with a spot on the World Records India. Over 5,000 laundrymen work here and the ghat is now home to close to 200 families.
