WELCOME TO GOA after COVID 19 ..... Goa is all decked up once again from 1st week of November with chartered flights ready to land and all the big and small outlets open and Hill Top too has an opening on 6th November .... The pics show a place called Shiva Place at Ozran Beach near Vagator .... Russian flag carrier Aeroflot on Monday had said it was set to launch its flight services to Goa from Moscow, starting November 2.
The airline currently operates its air services on the Moscow-Delhi-Moscow route twice-a-week with an Airbus A330 aircraft.
Aeroflot will fly its Airbus A330 aircraft every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from Moscow to Goa, offering 268 seats in the business class and 28 in the economy, the statement said.
Besides, the new services will also offer a weekly cargo capacity of 30 tons from India for Russia and the CIS countries, it added.
"Goa is a popular tourist destination among Russians. We are starting our three-times-a-week flights on the Moscow-Goa-Moscow route. It marks the expansion of our Indian services in response to customer demand," said Korolev Oleg K, head of cargo at Aeroflot.

HOPEFULLY .... the new airport in GOA named MOPA AIRPORT is inaugurated this December before NEW YEAR rush .... GGIAL expects the airport to be inaugurated in December 2022. The airport will have a code 'E' compliant, 3.5 kilometre long runway with Rapid Exit Taxiways. It is closer to Maharashtra Border !!

HAPPY TIBETAN NEW YEAR /LOSAR ..... Buddhist Temple in Mcleod in Dharamshala where H.E. Dalai Lama stays, was opened for tourists yesterday after 2 years because of Covid ... THIS IS GOING TO BE THE YEAR OF WATER TIGER FOR TIBETAN BUDDHISTS !
The word Losar is a Tibetan word that means New Year. The word is composed of two characters: lo and sar. Lo means 'year' and sar means 'new'.
The celebration of Losar can be traced back to the Tibetan pre-Buddhist period (127 BC – 629 AD). At that time Tibetans were followers of the Bon religion and held a spiritual ceremony every winter.
During the ceremonies, people burnt a large quantity of incense to appease local spirits, deities, and protectors. Later this religious festival developed into an annual Buddhist festival.
is the most important festival in the Tibetan calendar and lasts for 2 weeks. It is mainly celebrated over a period of 3 days in February or March.
In 2022, it will be from March 3rd to March 5th, of the internationally-used Gregorian calendar.
What is the Tibetan Calendar
The Tibetan calendar consists of 12 (or 13) lunar months, and Losar begins on the first day of the Tibetan year. It is around 35 to 65 days behind the Gregorian calendar in its month-day system. Losar is usually in the period February 5th to March 5th.
The Tibetan calendar is lunisolar and similar to the Chinese calendar.
Tibetan New Year is usually within a day or two of Chinese New Year or a month or two later, plus or minus a day or two. The adding of a compensatory 30-day lunar month is occasionally done differently, for example in 2020, making Tibetan New Year (February 24th) a lunar month later than Chinese New Year (January 25th).
