An experiment of Augmented Reality…!

This Diwali, Setu Advertising Agency, a leading advertising and branding agency, came up with this brilliant idea.
After few brainstorming sessions our team at Digital Art VRe executed this Augmented Reality experience.

Ravetkar Group is a leading real estate brand and was having billboards all across city and full page advertising in all leading newspapers during Diwali festival.
There were about 10 different designs which were spread across city, and we wanted to have this AR experience on any design. Mobile should detect the design and place AR layer above it seamlessly.
These designs were done considering the Diwali festival, Diwali is the festival of lights, lanterns, firecrackers etc
So we thought of lighting up this billboards and advertisement, add lanterns, fire crackers around this with audio trigger…

Checkout some footage shared by people on how they used this and shared it on social media.

The key to make this technology a success, was that we had to keep on experimenting and sharing with the public to check how they use it. If it’s good..people will do it effortlessly, without knowing this is AR/VR/MR.

We at Digital Art VRe, are firm believers in the power of technology.

So, when we got a chance to blend our belief with people's faith in Bappa, it opened a whole new world for us.

This year during Ganesh Utsav, we partnered with Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Trust, one of Pune's most revered Ganesh Mandals, to take Bappa's blessings far beyond his temple.

While the common man might not understand the nitty-gritties of Metaverse and Virtual Reality, it feels great to make it a bridge in connecting devotees with their beloved Bappa and see a smile on their face.

One of the best usage of Technology:

Checkout SRI SRI RADHA VRINADAVANCHANDRA MANDIR and SRI BALAJI (VENKATESHWARA) MANDIR in closest possible way… you can zoom in and see the elaborate clothing and jewellery of idols.

Analytics are very interesting :
This link immediately went viral on WhatsApp and other social media platforms without any paid advertisement.

We published this just a day back (Published on 18th Aug 2022 at about 10pm), till now 10K + visits are done from 25 countries, with a bandwidth usage crossing 150GB and an average time spent is 10Min by each as per Google Analytics, which is whooping.
Interestingly with heat map analytics we found people are spending about 70% time watching deity face and jewellery.
People are getting connected very emotionally with this tool here.

Here we tested with one of the super luxurious residential project of Supreme Universal’s Elysia coming up in Mumbai.

This is what True is all about…!
Now here sales team will accompany the home buyers with their family inside in Virtual Reality and explain in details about the project…!

Now Architects along with developers can actually be on site together standing next to each other virtually (physically they can be miles away) and discuss project design etc.

So many possibilities to explore now in literally every field/industry…

We are happy to be associated with NFAI for Bengaluru International Film Festival.
We created VR-AR content, which is going to be a major attraction.
In VR you will be teleported to Virtual World of while in AR you can bring poster inside in real world, this poster is a collage of 75 unique posters which depicts different moods of patriotism in last 75 years of Indian cinema, in AR you can Augment this poster in your space, go close to each poster and check details, you can also click your photograph standing in front of this poster.

Augmented Reality
When we at DigitalArtVRe decided to do testing for AR of Dagdusheth Ganpati this year, we were very clear that we wanted maximum smartphone users to be able to experience this without any glitch,irrespective of the operating system.

Another important factor we wanted was that we didn’t want technology to be a barrier for people. We wanted everyone to be able to use AR experience swiftly without requiring any app or plugin to downloaded, as majority of the people would opt out because of those hurdles.
So we made a small AR explanation film with a famous actor Mr Prashant Damle, where he explained how to do this AR Experience. It turned out to be a big hit and helped our AR experience to reach more people…if you see the film, you will not hear any technological word like Augmented reality etc, we wanted him to speak in a way that every person would be able to relate with it and would be compelled to start experimenting it with their smart phone.

Photogrammetry of Bappa: We explored a few different ways to do photogrammetry of Bappa. Our next challenge was 3D mesh size. At firsthand file size was more than 1GB, which our team started optimising, but we couldn’t go below 80MB, we were sure that people wouldn’t wait to download a file that big and would just exit.
Then we finally got a breakthrough with Apple‘s revolutionary technology. Our team could scan Bappa without compromising on the final result and at the end our file size was down to mere 7MB….. yes 7MB. So now people were able to download the 3D file in just a few seconds.
Our next challenge was that we wanted only 1 link which will work for both IOS and android, which our R&D team managed. We at DigitalArtVRe have an amazing team who is always at edge of technology exploring new avenues.
Now, when we check Analytics of this for the 10 days of Ganesh festival, we are extremely satisfied.
78,000+ Users from 60+ countries on an average spent 3+ minutes experiencing the AR.
We received calls and messages from several devotees thanking us for making this happen. Many clicked photos with Bappa and shot videos of them performing the Aarti and shared it on social media.
Cherry on the cake…our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took cognisance of our efforts and sent an appreciation letter immediately. This has definitely boosted our team’s morale to take technological challenges to the next level.
We are extremely thankful to Dagdusheth Trust authorities for exploring this technological breakthrough. We hope that in future more and more of such experiences are done across India.

Today we are even more confident that AR/VR is here to stay, lets find more and more relevant avenues to explore.

This is very special project for us and for immersive technology...
here clients decided to use and invest in technology to experience their specially designed apartments “only” in VR with all detailed specifications... making buyer convince on spaces designed in VR without actually building sample spaces was challenging.. this is pathbreaking approach for real estate industry.
Acceptability of technology is possible only and only if your content is strongly connecting to the person going through experience.
Storytelling is key element...!
