तस्वीर देख कर हैरान मत होईए।
ये बात सच है कि कभी दिल्ली से लंदन आप बस से भी जा सकते थे
क्योंकि तब दुनिया का सबसे लम्बा सड़क मार्ग कलकत्ता से लंदन हुआ करता था
और इस मार्ग पर बस भी चलती थी।
कोई हिंदुस्तानी या अंग्रेज ने नहीं बल्कि सिडनी की
अल्बर्ट टूर एंड ट्रेवल्स कंपनी ने शुरु की रहे ये सेवा।
1950 के दशक के शुरू में होने के बाद लगभग 25 साल तक चली पर
बाद में इसे किन्ही कारणों से बंद करना पड़ा।
किराया था महज 85 पाउंड्स से लेकर 145 पाउंड्स।
कलकत्ता से शुरू होकर बनारस, इलाहाबाद, आगरा, दिल्ली से होते हुए लाहोर, रावलपिंडी,काबुल कंधार, तेहरान,इस्तांबुल से बुलगेरिया, युगोसलाविया,वीएना से वेस्ट जर्मनी और बेलजियम से होते हुए ये बस लंदन पहुंचती थी।
इस दौरान ये करीब 20300 KM चलती थी और 11 मुल्कों को क्रॉस करती थी।

बाबा केदारनाथ की पंचमुखी उत्सव डोली केदार धाम पहुंच चुकी है। कल प्रातः 6 बजकर 20 मिनट पर सम्पूर्ण विधि-विधान के साथ खोले जाएंगे बाबा केदार के कपाट। सभी श्रद्धालुओं को हार्दिक बधाई एवं शुभकामनाएं। आज केदारनाथ धाम में हर तरफ श्रद्धालुओं की भीड़ है और भोले के जयकारे से माहौल पूरा भक्तिमय है।

HOW TO DO WINTER SPITI ?MY OBSERVATION.

It is the time of the year when winter become severe in Himalaya and hills becomes white with white gold every where.It is also the time of the year year when my riders and traveler friends start dreaming about white Spiti ,winter Spiti and frozen Spiti. Since majority of my friends consist of travelers and riders so this post is for all those who are making plans for a trip to Middle land aka Spiti valley during winter months of December-Jan-Feb-March.Lets consider Delhi as a starting and finish point for your trip.Few points which can help you plan better are given below .-
1-The route is Delhi-Ambala –Shimla-Rampur-Powari-Pooh-Khab-Nako-Chango-Sumdo-Tabo-Kaza and return via same exact route.

2-This route is accessible throughout year except few days when snowfall accumulate on road.Roads are blocked during such snowfall days and may take few days to clear depending upon the amount of snow and severity of bad weather.But govt deploys dozers for snow clearing work.

3-Runing water is not available and using toilet may be basic style.Bucket and mug are used.I used to go behind a hill for this circus.

4.Majority of hotels are closed but few remains open.

5.HP PWD Guest house remain open during winters and located at Pooh,Tabo and kaza and can be booked in advance.PWD GH have heater facility.But prior booking is must.They are cheap and good in winter months.Kaza also have some small homestays open which can also be taken as a walk in guest.

6.If heating is not provided in rooms then its very punishing cold and warming quilts take time.

7.Avoid staying at Nako as it’s a high altitude village and cold intensity is severe.Instead stay at Tabo which is warmer than Nako and comparatively comfy.Tabo is 50 kms from Nako towards Kaza.

8-Look out for frozen ice sheet on road in shade area.Your bike may skid so slow speed and an alert eye in front of your bike is must.

9.Wear a thick rain coat over your riding jacket for stopping wind.Buy hand knitted local woolen socks.Rubber gumboots are useless.Buy fleeced lined shoes from Shimla ,Theog for 500 Rs.Boots are also available at Kaza.

10-Carry 1 litre thermos flask for drinking water.Atlasware brand is absolutely good.

11.Carrying snow chain is a good idea.

12.Places to see-Suicide point near Shogi,Nako lake,Giu village for 500 years old lama mummy,1000 years old Tabo monastery,Dhankar Monastery,Kye monastery,
Langza,Comic,Kibber ,Tashigang village,highest Asian bridge at Chicham,highest post office at Hikkim village.Do send a sovineir post card from PO and carry a postal stamp .Sometimes PO ran out of stamp.

13.Petrol pump at Kaza is functional but in case of road blocke,petrol shortage may occur.Use your discretion here whether to carry extra petrol or not.

14.Dont strees your vehicle while starting your vehicle first time in the morning.Vehicle take longer time for starting in morning.Excess use of self ignition must be avoided.

15.Peak Snow accumulation happens between 15th January to 25th February .

Bhagwan Vishnu Ji is sleeping in a very calm manner in the deep forest of Bandhavgarh National Park, Madhya Pradesh, BHARAT (India) 🚩

This 1000+ years old reclining Vishnu Ji’s Sculpture is 12m long & carved out of single rock.
The Head of Vishnu Ji is facing east and the legs are on west with a stream of natural water gushing out is known as Bandhavgarh’s life line river “Charan-Ganga”.

अमरनाथ यात्रा सम्पन्न होने के बाद लौट रहे ITBP के जवानों से भरी बस जम्मू कश्मीर के पहलगाम के समीप खाई में गरने का दुःखद समाचार प्राप्त हुआ।
मैं ईश्वर से शहीद जवानों को अपने श्री चरणों में स्थान एवं घायलों के शीघ्र स्वस्थ होने की प्रार्थना करता हूं।
